Dear Riot, I Want To Give You Money

But lately there just hasn't been any skins that I'm interested in. I have so much money I /want/ to spend on your game, but the skins for champions I enjoy playing do not come out very often. I am not alone, there are plenty of players willing to spend so much money on your game, but you aren't getting RP from us because you aren't releasing skins for champions we enjoy.

I get it. You don't have the man power to pump out a ton of high quality skins for over 120 different champions. It's not feasible, and sometimes even when a champ I enjoy DOES get a skin, it might be something I think sucks or I don't enjoy. E.g., I don't want to buy Lux's Steel Legion skin, because I feel like the military theme doesn't fit her thematically. I've waited over 2 years to spend money on a new Lux skin.

So why not give us more options to spend our money? Why not expand on your customization options?

What happened to the idea of letting us buy custom maps themed around different ideas? A candy land summoners rift? An Underwater summoners rift? A Demacia / Noxus theme? All of these ideas you can CHARGE us for. Start giving players the option to buy customization beyond just champion skins. You will reach untapped markets that right now you simply aren't reaching.

There are SO many easy things you can recolor or edit that could really enhance game experience. This goes beyond map mods. Consider recoloring dragon or the jungle camps, even new designs for nexus turrets. Minion skins? What about even a customizable loading screen? Consider letting us buy simple particle changes for some champions rather than entirely new skins. You've already seen how many of us are willing to spend money on little icons, can you imagine if you actually expanded this in game as well? You'd start making a TON of money.

Sincerely, Someone who wants to spend more money on your game.

YES! the map themes is a perfect way to add dynamic to the game! i would get sick of this game so much less often if all they did was change the way the map looks haha

I like Lux, I like Spelltheif, that's all I need for her right now. Would love a new skin but eh, they've made plenty of skins for other champs I love lately. She'll get one soon enough, as there's other champions out there that haven't seen skins in almost 4-5 years now... so 2 years is nothing.

The map themes though, they said they'd have those kind of things in the future AFTER the Rift Update was done. You do know that that took about 8 months or so of work to get to where it is now, and hell they are still adding things to the Rift, so it will be some time before you see any kind of alternate themes for that.

Why? It's not that hard to make map mods, and they have a huge team of people working on skins. For reference, Yurixy Works already has TWO very high quality mods out for the maps, and they're ENTIRELY fan made. If one person can do all of that, there's seriously no reason an entire team of paid individuals can't do it.

You do realize that Summoners Rift, as I said, took them at least 8 months to get it to where it is now and on top of that it's still in Beta. It's not 100% perfected yet, they still have adjustments and such they've been changing over time.

The map works properly. They've had it in testing for months and months before it was pushed live. I think you're being a bit of a white knight, honestly.

It still says "BETA" though, so they don't have it to 100% where they want it. So they aren't going to make anything else yet. "White Knight"? I only speak in proper terms, not stupid things that people like to plaster on the net sorry.

The map is totally done. Don't be asinine about them making small tweaks to things (which there has basically been NONE in months). You're clearly a white knight, sorry you aren't articulate enough to know what it means.

Whatever you say kid.... Actually there are changes coming, such as in the upcoming patch they are adding new camera options and color changes.. so you obviously know nothing. So it's still in BETA for a reason.

You realize the camera angle literally has nothing to do with map aesthetics, right? You should just leave, I don't appreciate your trolling.

If you think this is trolling, you really need to learn what life is about. This is a discussion board and everyone has the right to comment and say what they wish. I'm showing you proof that the MAP is still in fact in BETA and you just don't want to expect that.

They added a camera option yes, but they are also adding relative color options so that regardless of what side you are on the team will be blue vs red, which took awhile to implement the proper assets. Plus they have also added little runes across the map (yes related to the upcoming champion) but it's still a change.

So again, you know nothing. The map is still in BETA because they are making changes across it and testing it to make sure there are still no major problems. A beta, open or closed, does last for awhile (such as a closed game beta I got into, where their previous alpha phase last for 10 months). So I'd learn a bit more if I were you before calling people an idiot.

relative color options has NOTHING to do with anything - It's a simple color pallet swap you can turn on / off. It's not much different than the game's color blind mode option. You are an idiot. Nothing wrong with calling you what you are.

No it's really not, they had to rebuild the blue assets coming from the red side of the map, as when they first showed up on the PBE they were solid blue instead of properly colored (and vice versa).

Also, cute deleting your posts, so funny when you're wrong and others are proven right again and again.
