Yasuo's Windwall Should NOT Stop Taliyah's Ult
It's a wall, not a projectile...
It's a wall, not a projectile...
It shouldnt stop anything because it completely nullifies half of LoL's roster.
As a non-ult, mind you!
And yet Riot's nerfing Azir's ULT because it does the same to the other half...
And its also the easiest thing to play around unless he holds it.
I dunno yasuo standing inside his wall is pretty AIDSmobile
It even blocks Vel'Koz's E if you aim it behind the wall. IT'S NOT EVEN A SKILLSHOT
Vel's E places an area for the victim to react to and move out of before the real ability is launched a moment after.
Basically, Vel puts an indicator, then fires a projectile that blows up the ground there. So yea, it is a projectile, just not a clearly defined one.
While I know many will disagree, honestly Yasuo's Wind Wall shouldn't block ANY "ultimate" abilities. I know the genie is out of THAT bottle, but if Riot is going to claim that they removed QSS power because champs shouldn't be able to rip away a champ's power with one item, then another champ should not be able to nullify so many "ULTIMATE" abilities with a single NON-ult.
This post is very vital to me, thank you for this, I can pass now. - Zombie Brand OTP
Well from that argument, perhaps you shouldn't just blast your ultimate when he has his windwall off cooldown. make him waste it and then play around it.
I'm not saying I (or many other players) CAN'T play around Yasuo's Wind Wall, I'm saying it's dumb that a basic ability can nullify an Ultimate, let alone MANY Ultimates like Yasuo's can.
By your argument, I could be looking to Ulti a champion THAT IS NOT YASUO and Yasuo (who may even be hidden by fog of war) could flash (or even more stupidly, "Sweeping Blade") in and totally negate my Ulti. But that's my bad, because if I EVER try to use my Ulti while Yasuo's Wind Wall is off cooldown then clearly I'm making a serious mistake.
By this logic, spell shields and Banshee's Veil should be entirely removed as well.
So does Braum's wall. Are you fine with that?
at least braums wall requires him to take damage instead of it being completely ignore like yasuo wind wall does
What makes it even worst is that he can block everything until it expires. It should at least fall apart after blocking an ult.
yas W blocks more than braum W...
wat?
Yep all because braum can move.
And takes damage + CC from what he blocks.
But yasuo taught her how to control her powers so i feel like its a fair trade off
Lore clap
: I taught you just enough so you could be strong without overpowering me
Windwall so op it c*ock-blocked me irl.
Was talking to this pretty babe at the bar, she wanted my phone so she can put her number in there, Yas came outa fkin now where and windwalled as I was handing my phone over to her. My phone forever disappeared...
Edit: What's pissing me off so much is that it wasn't even projectile! Like I didn't toss the phone at her. I handed it to her. It's practically melee. But no. Windwall tooo op Rito nerf that plz
There is a lot of things it shouldn't block if you ask me...
Hey Riot, code Yasuo's windwall as a projectile so I can walk through it as Braum and make Yasuo cry the bitter baby tears he has caused in so many others.
After all, the windwall travels a distance, and takes time to do so. Isn't that your incredibly broad definition of projectile? The one you stated when you announced that you planned to eventually have Nautilus's ult count as one?

I think it already is as two yasuos can cancel each others' windwall during the movement part the windwall. Once it stops it isn't counted as a projectile anymore WHICH DOESN'T EXPLAIN WHY ZILEAN BOMBS CANNOT GO THROUGH THE WINDWALL ONCE THEY ARE ALREADY PLANTED RITO PLS
Yasuo's Windwall is actually coded like akjsdfhlaksfdjnga;fognalkdfjhgbv;kaefjngladfkjgleurfglsjmfgblaekrjhb
So it's not really a projectile. It's more like a... bullshit.
Mystical soul-stealing powers and the ability to charm people?
Nothing some wind can't clear.
A robotic arm shooting straight for you?
Nothing some wind can't help.
Magic-powered shells? Heavy artillery?
Nothing some wind can't stop.
Guns capable of putting even the damned souls of the shadow isles to rest?
Guns that can't destroy the wind.
Compressed light?
Well, aside from the ultimate, wind beats light.
Powerful magic that obliterates even the mightiest of men?
Can't get past some wind.
Command the stars themselves? Create massive explosions of power? Powerful enough to create the sun?
Call back when you're powerful enough to beat the wind.
Honestly the one thing that bothers me most about Yasuo's Windwall is how it makes zero sense from a narrative point-of-view.
Apparently "Wind/Air" is the most powerful element:
- Super rolling wave of water? Air trumps water!
- Flaming balls of death? Air trumps fire!
- Massive wall of earth? Air trumps earth!
It seems like at least ONE of those should beat air. (And yeah, the concept that invisible air defeats light is also dumb)
Yet surprisingly, Cloud Drake is the most unwanted dragon. Rito Pls
In all honesty, they need to classify what Yasuo's wall can block by what it is in the game rather than what it is mechanically. It may be coded as a projectile, but it really isn't. Auto attacks, fireballs, thrown cards, those are projectiles. Massive pieces of earth are not.
Making it block all projectiles (with the exception of some over/under ones) makes the ability mechanically consistent rather than creating loads of exceptions that force you to learn them all on a case by case basis. The ability's current iteration works well and it's not the game is logically consistent anyway.
Season 7, League of Walls League of Legends: Modern Wallfare I've got wall-fare to hand out for everyone here.
At least it doesnt disappear :^)
Needs Mexican Yasuo skin first.
You mean presidential Yasuo. He builds walls and doesn't let anybody through. Especially not Taliyah at the moment.

Words can not express anything XD.
Are those emojis...
I have lost faith in the human race.
It's applause.
A wall of them.
Actually the wall and deporting thing is under Taliyah's and Poppy's control.

It is a projectile. The seems to work like a Vel'Koz's fissure of Braum's ult, in that her ult travels to the wind wall, stops once it makes contact, but the zone it leaves behind is unaffected.
Uh, which should not happen.
All of those abilities are projectiles because they behave like projectiles do in League of Legends. Which is to say that they spawn, aren't minions, and have a travel time. So yeah, man, it should happen.
(arent terrains coded as tightly clumped minions or did they finally change that)
you are right though. all those abilities, unlike stuff like lux ult or xerath q, all travel down the skill shot no matter what the particles are supposed to represent.
Basically everything in League is coded as minions, so it wouldn't surprise me if Taliyah's wall, like so many other abilities, is a bundle of minions.
its minions all the way down...
TO be fair yasuo really isn't that hard to deal with, Hes no zed. but yeah taliyahs ult is underground and the windwall is above ground so a wind wall shouldnt block an earth wall... Does it block nami's ult? i dont think ive seen a yasuo windwall a tsunami.
You're kidding right? Tsunami/Windwall is an infamous interaction, if the wave so much as brushes the side of the wall it dissipates entirely.
Nami main here, it blocks the entire ult if just a pixel touches the windwall. Weeee..
