Mayu, the Mystechnician

Description: Hextechnology has always been the technology that a lot of people in Valoran make use of over the years. But what if Hextechnology wasn't the only technology to exist? What if there was a different source of technology that exists all on it's own? Introducing Mayu, the Mystechnician. A female technician from Ionia, possessing a different source of technology passed down from the bloodline of her family, becoming a well known Ionian machinery called Mystechnology. Like Hextechnology, it uses magic to power its capabilities but unlike Hextechnology, Mystechnology's machinery forms itself under the commands of its user. It can also take itself apart for storage or light weighted travels. All the user needs to do is command the core of the device to form or split apart anytime it needs to do so. Imagining the way it takes itself apart and forms again, think of it like those Forerunner weapons from Halo. Like that one moment in the Campaign trailer of Halo 4 when Master Chief picks up the Light Rifle for the first time. That's how the Mystechnology works. It does serve the same purpose as the Hextechnology but it does so in a different way possible. I'd like to explain more if you want but let me get into my champion concept first.

Stats: Attack - 90% Health - 25% Magic - 90% Difficulty - 100%

Attributes: Primary - Marksman Secondary - Mage

Abilities: Passive - Mystech Sentry Gun On her next basic attack, Mayu deploys a Mystech Sentry Gun that attacks as Mayu attacks, applying other basic attack buffs given to Mayu from different sources such as items effects or Crest of Cinders. This sentry can be upgraded by Mayu to use rapid fire barrels that lower the armor of its given target by 10% of Mayu's total physical damage. Mayu, however must use her basic attack at melee range to do this. It takes 5 hits to upgrade. (Something like the Engineer's Sentry Gun from Team Fortress 2 where you have to keep hitting it with his wrench in order to upgrade). Mayu can only deploy one sentry gun at a time. She can only deploy one sentry gun at a time. Sentry Gun will be destroyed by enemy attacks or once Mayu is out of range for 5 second. (Like how 's H-28G Evolution Turrets cannot activate itself until Heimerdinger is in range of control). After the sentry gun is destroyed, Mayu will have to wait 5 more seconds to deploy another Mystech Sentry Gun.

First Ability - Twin Power Orbs Mayu commands a power orb at her target direction to collect power from her targets. If the target has mana, the orb will steal 10% of their remaining mana. If the target does not have any mana left or does not use mana, the orb will deal magic/physical damage instead but it will not steal the target's health. (It works like 's Orb of Deception and her passive, Essence Theft but steals mana instead of health) Mayu stores another power orb after a few seconds, storing up to 2 orbs at once. (Much like 's Void Rift charge storing)

Second Ability - Mystech Micro-Rockets When activated, each of Mayu's Power Orbs and her Mystech Sentry Gun fire three rockets that attack nearby targets, one target per rocket if there is more than how much is shot. Each target takes magic/physical damage. (Similar to 's Hextech Micro-rockets in his older version). Mystech Micro-Rockets cannot be activated if Twin Power Orbs has no power orb present and the Mystech Sentry Gun is destroyed. The rockets will prioritize attacking minions and monsters within range.

Third Ability - Weakness Data Link Mayu analyzes her target's weakest point. For the next 4 seconds, the target is exposed to 10% additional damage from all sources. This does not penetrate armor or magic resist.

Ultimate - Tactical Laser System Upon activation, Mayu and her Mystech Sentry Gun (If nearby) will fire a beam of energy for 2.5 seconds at a target direction indicated by cursor's movement, dealing magic/physical damage to minions and monsters it passes through and the first target champion it hits overtime. The first champion caught in the blast loses 10% of its total magic resist as it remains in the blast and for 6 seconds once it is out of it. (It works like 's Lifeform Disintegration Ray but it does not go through champions. Shooting a champion with this weapon is like shooting a shield until it is broken. Let me get to downwards). The beam will continue to fire against the first champion it hits until the champion moves out of the range of fire or is killed. Cool down time is lowered depending on how soon the ability is disabled by crowd control, death, or reactivation.

Special Passive I - Mystechnology All Ionian champions present from both sides of the match get a 5% buff to all their stats.

Special Passive II - Hextechnology Mayu deals 5% additional damage to champions who use Hextechnology. However, Mayu will take 5% additional damage from those Hextech users as well.

Special Passive III - My best friend Lux provides more support with her Prismatic Barrier by giving 5% more shield to Mayu. Mayu in exchange will help Lux deal 5% more damage to a target affected by Weakness Data Link.

Synergy:

• Works well with Two technicians are better than one. As these two work together in a fight, Heimerdinger's Techmaturgical Repair Bots will help keep Myu's Mystech Sentry Gun intact to fight off the enemy team. Heimerdinger's Upgrades will make use of Mayu's Weakness Data Link and Tactical Laser System when dealing with a high value target. Corki's Hextech Shrapnel Shells will deal tons of damage with the help of Mayu's Weakness Data Link. Corki deal even more damage with his Gatling Gun since it lowers armor. Weakness Data Link is the key to Fiora's Duelist's Dance and Grand Challenge. Nothing much to say other than helping Fiora dealing tons of damage to her target.

• Struggles Against Unbreakable can even block Mayu's Tactical Laser System so his allies may push the laser beam back to the point where Mayu and her Sentry Gun is in complete exposure. Mayu should never fall into the hand of Mordekaiser. She should especially watch out for Children of the Grave. Should she ever get killed by this attack, her teammates are in danger of getting killed by her own machinery. Plus, he doesn't have mana and Twin Power Orb's damage are blocked by Modekaiser's Iron Man passive. Syndra can just thrown Mayu's useless tech back at her face or use her orbs for the same purpose. It's especially difficult for Mayu to use her attacks while Syndra is pushing her away with Scatter the Weak everytime Mayu tries to user her Tactical Laser System. Syndra can push Mayu like a bully. Not only that, she even has better curves than Mayu. Compare Syndra's curvy figure with Mayu's flat body. It's ridiculous.

Tips:

• Playing as Mayu

Make sure your teammates are near your Mystech Sentry Gun so you can provide more attack support. You're especially weak if you are away from your Mystech Sentry Gun. Leave your sentry gun with extreme caution, especially when moving near bushes that are not sighted. Use . It's effects also apply on your Mystech Sentry Gun. You'll be shooting a total of 6 projectiles at once.

• Playing against Mayu

As a tank, is highly recommended. Getting attacked by Mayu's Mystech Sentry Gun will reflect the damage back at Mayu and only Mayu. Mayu's Mystech Sentry Gun gives additional gold and experience that's 50% of how much you would gain from killing Mayu. Try farming from her sentry gun when laning against her. Just keep in mind that killing Mayu first won't grant the bonus from the Sentry Gun. Stay behind your minions or a tanky ally to block her attacks if you are under the effects of Weakness Data Link.

Lore: Hextechnology has been the most frequently used technology all over Valoran but it wasn't the only existing technology. Long time ago, there had been Ionian scientists who developed there own technology to perform tasks differently from the typical Hextechnology that other people use in Piltover and Zaun. They call this machinery, Mystechnology. Made to be more advanced than the Hextechnology, Mystechnology has a different way of handling itself. The parts would fall apart and form itself under the command of its user as long as the core of the device is in possession. Some of the devices don't even need to attach its parts physically. It makes traveling with these devices much easier and more lighter than just carrying the device as a whole. Storage is even easier when Mystechnology is no longer in need to be used. The downside to using this technology is that it will be difficult or near impossible to put the device back together if the core is lost. The Mystechnology is also powered by magic so mages or other magical beings or people who supply magic will benefit Mystechnology. Should the magic from the device be completely drained, the device will no longer function, making the pieces more likely to be lost or damaged.

This technology became well known all over Ionia. Though it might have caused some complications in dealing with individuals who would use it for diabolical use. Most of the devices that were made were banned or hidden, all under the order of the founder herself. Lady Mayana Ruko was a former Shrine Maiden who tried finding new ways in dealing with threats that threaten her village and find better ways to perform tasks. Despite having powers, her tasks as a Shrine Maiden weren't easy which is why she began the development. As a Shrine Maiden of her current state of wealth, she doesn't really get as much payment as anyone else from the village, making Hextechnology more difficult to buy or have access to. Though she did manage to study the technology and find new ways to make something even better. After the development was a success, its use became well known to her village then eventually all over Ionia. Mayana had no intention of spreading her technology but she did manage to get more people to donate to her shrine more often. But after finding out the diabolical use of her technology, she demanded that the technology should be band straight away and whatever dangerous devices she finds, she orders that it be taken apart and destroyed, otherwise hidden.

After years since the banning of Mystechnology, Mayana is married. She and her husband afterwards gave birth to their daughter, Mayu. Mayu is Mayana's only child which makes her chosen to be the next Shrine Maiden, and when she's ready, keeper of the knowledge behind the Mystechnology.

In her time of youth, Mayu's father was off to command an army during the time of war but suddenly went missing. When there was no hope of finding him, now presumed dead, Mayu and her mother had to spend their days playing outside together to help relieve their grief. She sometimes plays with friends but her mother always made sure to supervise in case things get out of hand. But when things in their village started to get a little dangerous for Mayu, especially after outsiders started moving into the village. Mayu spent most of her childhood in the shrine. One day, Mayu made friends with a mysterious young boy who was unlike the rest of the outsiders. He seemed young and gentle unlike the outsiders who were all rude and aggressive to the main locals of the village. This boy had always lived alone and had been bullied by the outsiders whenever he was outside his house. He often visits the shrine to donate which was how Mayu met him. One day, Mayu persuade her mother to allow her to play with her best friend and they were off to play outside of the shrine together for the very first time.

Mayu let her best friend in on the forbidden Mystechnology that her mother taught her about. She even showed him one of her personal devices her mother gave her. She taught him how to use it. The boy proved to be a natural in doing so. They've played these toys together until it started to rain. It was time for Mayu to get back home and she wanted to invite her friend to sleep over with her. But little do they know that their toys caught the attention of the outsiders. Specifically the ones that bullied the boy. They demanded that they hand over the toys otherwise they'll both get beaten down. The boy refused to have Mayu hand over her Mystech device. The bullies then beat him down to the ground then they went after Mayu.

They kicked and beat up Mayu then Mayu had witness something she had never seen before.

Her best friend's awakening power. In his rage, he beats down the bullies, not to the point where they are frighten but to the point where they are dead. As the bullies screamed and cried in agony, one by one, they were torn and ripped apart by the boy's wrath until nothing but dead silence, broken and torn limbs, and blood spill was left from the bullies.

The boy changed back and looked at what he had done in horror. As Mayu approached him, the boy quickly ran from her into the raining mist where she can no longer see him. She tried to go after him but her mother finds her and quickly takes her back to the shrine. Mayu cries out for the boy in tears, wanting him to come back. The next raining day, she looked out to see if the boy would come back. He didn't. She checked again later and he still hasn't come back. She even looked out at night and he wasn't there. This, and the heavy rain outside lasted for a week. She was soon going to give up on her best friend and just forget about him. Her mother knew what she had witnessed and warned Mayu that the boy was too dangerous to play with. But Mayu wasn't terrified at the boy at all. She was more terrified at the bullies bullying her and her friend. If it wasn't for the boy's rage, she would have been beaten to death. Mayu's mother learned that she used the Mystechnology and warned her not to use it outside the shrine next time. It was dangerous. She warned her about the attention of the outsiders and how some of them would want to use it for diabolical reasons such as theft and murder and other harmful things done to hurt the innocent. Mayu vowed not to use her Mystechnology outside the shrine but her mother also told her to use it as a last resort in case something bad will happen to her.

One day, in the heavy rain, Mayu's mother heard some noises coming from outside. Strange noises. She warns Mayu not to follow and she goes out to check. She arms herself with her rod, looking around to see who it was.

Mayu opens the door slightly to take a peek. Then sees her mother in horror. She had witness her mother getting assassinated by a dark figure. The slicing of his blade spilled her mother's blood onto the ground where she collapses. The figure then vanishes. (No, it's not ) Mayu runs up to her mother, on her knees and in tears, seeing if her mother was still alive. No response. She was already dead as soon as the assassin sliced her. Her friend finally shows up to see the dead woman and her daughter. He runs up to them and sees if Mayu was alright. Mayu hugs him and cries and news of her mother's death spread all over the village. Her mother's corpse was then buried. Mayu and her friend was the last to leave the funeral. Knowing that Mayu would be alone and in danger, the boy promised to take care of Mayu everyday.

A few years have past since her mother's death. Mayu and her friend grew up together in the shrine. The boy did some child labor to keep him and Mayu well fed. He warns Mayu to stay in the shrine. Mayu is always left sad and alone whenever the boy had to work. But every time he comes back, they would both play together. During the winter, Mayu and the boy climbed up a tree trunk for a surprise. The boy shows Mayu a necklace, one he crafted himself. The blacksmith gave him materials to craft it for free. It was a very special gift. But just as the boy gives Mayu the present, the tree trunk breaks and they both fell onto the thick snow. Mayu and the boy accidentally dropped the necklace and it falls upon a rock, splitting in half. The boy was afraid this would upset Mayu but she had a better idea. Since the necklace was split in half, she decided to take one half while her friend takes the other. She ties a string on one half and puts it around her friend's neck. She shows her piece fitting in with his and tells him that this will be their little secret. She and the boy promised not to tell anyone.

One day, her friend was coming back from work but he received a death threat from an outsider, saying that he's at the shrine and holding Mayu hostage. He runs to the shrine to rescue her. Mayu, currently tied up and held hostage, barely manages to shake off the cloth covering her mouth and screams that it was a trap. But it was too late. Mayu sees her best friend getting sliced the same way her mother did and he was the next one to collapse to the floor, leaving his blood spilling all over the floor. She was left to untie herself why her captives left without a trace. She crawls to her friend's body in tears. The boy looks at her one last time before dying. His eyes remained open as he passes away. Mayu closes his eyes afterwards. The boy was then buried with Mayu left alone to see her best friend's grave one last time before returning to the shrine.

Waiting for her outside the grave yard was a mysterious woman holding an umbrella to keep her face under the shade. She offered the little girl care and comfort for her loss. Mayu, knowing that she will be lonely her whole life in the shrine, accepts the woman's offer and they soon left the land and lived in a far away place where Mayu learns more about her mother's Mystechnology and where the forbidden device are hidden all over Valoran. Before she could journey on to find these devices, she had to be educate on how the Mystechnology works.

By the time she was a teenager, she returns to her shrine to take her mother's place as the new shrine maiden of the village. She spent four years in the shrine. Throughout those years she made friends with some other people, including her new best friend who came far from Demacia, Luxanna Crownguard whom often visits the shrine to keep Mayu some company.

One day, during Luxanna's visit, Mayu and Luxanna sees an asteroid falling from the sky. It lands in front of the shrine and both Mayu and Luxanna went to investigate. They find out that the asteroid was actually a pod. It's made of Mystechnology. Mayu and Luxanna open the pod and find a mechanical figure, frozen like a statue. They took the figure into the shrine to investigate it. Mayu manages to unfroze the body. The limbs fell loose. Luxanna was curious at how Mayu manages to unfroze the body that easily. Mayu warned Luxanna that it's a secret that's too dangerous to tell and explains to her what it is. Suddenly, the shrine was under attack. A group of ninjas have invaded the shrine. The once frozen mechanical figure gains consciousness and sees his weapon next to him and senses the danger outside the shrine. He grabs his weapon and rushes outside to fight off the ninjas. Eventually, the ninjas were left to retreat. Mayu and Luxanna wanted to know what was happening. The man removes his helmet. It turns out that he was just a boy just as young as she was. He was a young mercenary hired by the woman who cared for Mayu when she was younger, to be her bodyguard and her companion on her quest to find the Mystechnology all over Valoran. When Mayu learns of this, she knew that it was time to leave the village and search out for the Mystechnology. Luxanna wanted to be part of the search and joins alongside with the two. Mayu prepared her adventure gear and sets off with Luxanna and the mysterious mercenary.

Along their way out of Ionia, Mayu and Luxanna noticed there was something strange about the silent mercenary. He seems rather inhuman to look human. Whenever Mayu tells him to do something, he does it without hesitation. She even asked him to roll over like a dog and he complies. Something didn't seem right about him and Mayu wanted to change him. Try to make him more human.

This begins Mayu's journey to find not only the Mystechnology her dead mother has hidden all over Valoran, but also learn more about her quiet companion. Rumor has it that she began a romantic relationship with him.

As Mayu and her new companion and Luxanna search the lands, she learns that the most dangerous Mystechnology was hidden within the Institute of War and has made its way into the League of Legends where she had no choice but to participate to get these weapons retrieved before and evil, diabolical force gets to it first.

"I've lost my mother, my father and my closest childhood friend. When I became close to Luxanna and Avion, I promise, I will never make anything happen to them." - Mayu, remembering the her losses.

Skins:

• Classic Mayu wears a lab coat like Heimerdinger and wears a black skirt and a pair of boots with dark leggings. Her Mystechnology is suppose to have blue lights of mana that connect the parts of the device to assemble itself. Again, it's just like how the Forerunner weapons from Halo form when you collect it for the first time. Majority of her tech floats like how 's blades float around her in the game. She holds a magic wrench as her primary weapon.
• Steel Legion Mayu This one, like Steel Legion Lux has her wearing mechanical armor but sticks with the floating machinery. Similar to the animation designs of Aether Wing .
• Shrine Maiden Mayu Like Lux, the design of this skin is a mix of two girls from Touhou. Since this is a shrine maiden skin, one character would be Reimu. Since she's a mechanic, the other character would be Nitori. The results would be Mayu wearing the shrine maiden outfit with a red bow tied to the back of her had with a pair of boots and a backpack. Instead of a wrench, she holds a Gohei stick with a mechanical twist to it. It transforms into a wrench when you are upgrading the sentry gun.
