Champion Concept: An old champion idea long crushed by Lucians appearence, but still admired.

The Eternal Prisoner

So I just stumbled across this incredible art of a champion someone made a long, while back between the time Thresh was released and before Lucian came out. And I think maybe their art can possibly be revived simply by the community coming up with idea's to help make this guy fit into the lore as a shadow isle's resident and no longer an abiding over-used concept off of Thresh's Lantern.

Currently i'm looking at this work of art and only see way too much potential lost along the way. What do you see in this picture?

My personal opinion gave this guy a Box Head/ The Keeper "The Evil WIthin" concept. What's yours?

The Eternal Prisoner Lore: The Eternal Prisoner was once a prisoner under Treshes care back when Tresh was a jailer. After Thresh tortured him and took his soul, his body (the image we see above) continued to room in search of it's souls, occasionally using souls of it's victims as reprieve from the constant pain and agony it endures.

Passive: Soul Stealer- Every unit The Eternal Prisoner kills drops a soul. If he gets close enough, he absorbs the soul granting him temporary a health and mana regen buff. The enemy champions grant him the same buff, but adds a shield and temporary boost to Ability Power. (this buff lasts as long as the dead champions respawn timer)

Q: Soul Shackles- The Eternal Prisoner throws a pair of soul shackles at a target, if it hits the target, the targets soul is left behind and is rooted there until the target comes back to retrieve it. Meanwhile, the soulless target is silenced and has reduced MR. If the target dies before it recovers it soul The Eternal Prisoner automatically absorbs the soul.

W: Soul Lash - The Eternal Prisoner lashes at the target with a chain, ignoring the target's bonus Magic Resist

E: Prison - Creates a large box out of four walls. After a short duration the box begins to get smaller, if an enemy touches one of the walls soon after its creation it will break causing a slight slow and reducing the effectiveness of the remaining walls, after awhile however the walls become unbreakable and will do extra damage to those trapped inside.

R: Soul Mimicry - Only activatable when the soul of an enemy champion is absorbed, The Eternal Prisoner takes on the appearance of the trapped souls and gains all of the enemy champions abilities and base stats until Soul Mimicry is reactivated or the mimicked champion respawns.

Just some thoughts. I can't do damage tables either but I think I did well on the mechanics part. Wanted to make sure that the only similar thing between him and Thresh was their appearance, so I made their kits seem similar as well. What do you think?

This is based on the above Idea

Forn The Eternal Prisoner Melee/Tank

Forn is a creature formed from the fragments of all the souls lost during the last Harrowing in the attack on Bilgewater It has no one conscience, changing it's voice and personality constantly between different people (man, woman and child) It constantly seeks a way to become whole by absorbing more fragments of souls

Passive: Incomplete Soul : Forn tries to find himself by copying real souls Forns basic attacks let him copy 20% of the targets highest stat He can attack another enemy to change the copy

  • Hp not included Duration : infinite (but grows as the enemy grows) Cooldown : 40 seconds

Q: Mimicry : Forn throws its ethereal chains at an enemy trying to take it's soul If it's a minion or monster it deals damage If it's a champion it roots himself and the target for 1.5 seconds and deals damage After the channel it copies the targets Q for 5 uses (damage and cooldown also copied) Cooldown : 15 / 13 / 10 / 9 / 8 Radius : 700 Damage : Magic 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+ 30% AP/AD) (+ 15 per 15 fragments) *Can cancel early for just the damage and can be interrupted by any form of damage

W: Ghostly Scream : Forn screams in agony with the Voices of a thousand lost souls It screams in an aoe area around it, dealing damage and fearing anyone or anything caught in it Cooldown : 25 / 22 / 19 / 17 / 15 Damage : 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+ 10% AP) Radius : 300 (+ 1 Teemo per 500 HP) Fear Duration : 0.3 sec (+0.1 per 15 fragments)

E: Life Sense : Forn feels and can faintly see any soul within a living being Every couple of seconds its radar shows the position of anything living in an area with a small soul in the location (think rek'sai tremor but with souls instead of steps) Cooldown : 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 5 Radius : 2000 (+ 1 Teemo per 10 fragments) Duration : 0.2 sec (+0.1 per 12 fragments)

R: Passive : Soul Mutation : Forn is constantly trying to complete itself, absorbing all life he can find Forn absorbs fragments of souls dropped by champions (allies included) Increasing the effectiveness of his abilities *roots itself for 0.1 sec to absorb

Active : Perfect Bound : Forn forces all his fragments to form a single perfect soul for a couple of seconds, giving him Immense power Forn gains bonus MS, MR, Armor, HP and increased range for the duration Cooldown : 120 / 100 / 80 Movement Speed : + 20% (+ 2% per 20 fragments) Magic Resist / Armor : 20 (+ 1 per 15 fragments) Health : 200 (+ 50 per 15 fragments) Range : 500 (+ 1 Teemo per 30 fragments)

  • still considered melee Fear Duration : 0.5 sec (+0.1 per 20 fragments)

I think of him as a manaless top laner, made to NOT have a defined role, his passive and Q serve for him to both thematically and strategically fight in equal ground to most enemies His W serves for both engages and running away, plus he can interrupt channels with it His E is most of all for thematic reason but also works well to serve as a constant semi ward that both can keep him safe and help chase down enemies in the jungle His R serves to change his play style come level 6 and to give him a good engage and teamfight power, since apart from his W he doesn't really have any aoe abilities When he hits level 6 his purpose changes to gather as much fragments as possible, but since they only drop from big things it makes him want to teamfight and roam more, instead of farming in lane

I love this idea, and it just reminds me of the old Zombie Liu Kang with his chains on his arms. But then I also remember the huge, missed opportunity NetherRealm had with not making his chains his choice of weapon. Those chains would've done serious damage https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/e5/9b/32/e59b3258d45c2819391477283e134a40.jpg

Also, it probably wouldn't be possible given the close similarities to this champion, but a champion who could use their hair as a string-like weapon in a similar fashion that Yashamaru does in the anime Basilisk would be really awesome https://youtu.be/98zt8Uch4d8

I like it could have a cool kit too

With Thresh and Kalista in game already, need to see a stronger concept than this before I'd get aboard on another agony spirit thing.
