Rapid Firecannon Rework (Idea)
Hi! With preseason coming around i though i might share some though on an item im not too fond the way it works, long story short, i believe the range of rapid firecannon should be permanent rather than rely on the stacking mechanic of energy. These are just some friendly suggestions though, im not crying for this to be implemented.
Rapid Firecannon
30% Attack Speed 20% Critical Chance 5% Movement Speed
UNIQUE Passive: Firecannon: You gain 25-35% bonus range scaling with level
(Removed - Gain Energized attacks 25% faster.)
Notes on some ideas and inb4's * (please read before criticizing negatively):*
-"Energy" mechanic on firecannon feels extremely clunky to me, now i do realize that making it permanent has consequence of being too strong, hence the crit chance reduction, basically it makes you choose between this or IE and it allows you to get 100% crit with another item thats not Essence Reaver, which like, only 2 ADC's build it nowadays.
-Now i do realize some champions would be able to attack towers out of range permanently, this however, is something kindred can already do with enough stacks (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77WCUXPE83U). Now I DO NOT agree that this should be a thing that happens on kindred or anyone, so i propose this as a general QoL improvement on towers: They cannot be damaged outside of their own attack range unless allied minions are nearby, that's it, solves both problems. Another important thing to note is that the actual range of firecannon hasn't increased from the current one, just the way it works.
-The reasoning behind the range per level its simple: ADC's are scaling champions, some scale harder than others

, But regardless of that, the 25% should make it so that if obtained early in the game, it doesn't have an overwhelming impact that allows for effortless snowball. And as a little bonus, champions that abuse it
(Insane Gold Card range) get reduced crit chance as well as needing to scale as hard as an AD carry to make it a worthwhile buy.
-Another VERY important thing that im removing is this: "Attacks become Energized 25% faster", so basically, the only item that provided speedier Shiv and Warlords (Fleet Footwork) Stacks is now gone, to offset this i would simply increase the rate at which Energy stacks by 15% or some amount thats not overwhelming since energy stacks with auto attacks as well, this makes it more easy on the champions that rely on energized items without being forced to buy firecannon if they dont need it, since the passive can be quintessential on some cases where you need the Footwork Passive more often or faster waveclear on Shiv but you dont build the attack speed
. Also the increase is only reserved for firecannon, its not present in any other item.
-The permanent range might still be too strong given the current state of censer, but i have faith in that riot will soon make engage supports worthwhile again by nerfing Censer slightly more and therefore making Assassins slightly more meta again, as well as making other support buys more enticing
