The Maps in League of Legends should be more different

I know this is an often discussed topic, but I will name it another time again. To begin with League of Legends is a GAME. My experience is that many players have forgotten that due to their behavior in game. But a worse thing is: The developers might have forgotten too that this is a GAME. The explanation why there are no other design for the same type of map is, that it shouldn't confuse the players. They can orientate themselves and focus on the champions. So in fact, they want the players to focus on their performance. It is such a shame that people seem to have forgotten what a GAME means. It's not about performance. It's about having fun and maybe live another reality. And in case of a video game it's also some piece of art. The usual maps look good, no doubt. But every map, which is in fact 3 at the moment, has just one design. There might be a reason for not designing any more maps, but it's no excuse for the custom market. And it has nothing to do with balancing or even effort. I study design, so I know what I'm talking about. For E-Sports it might be good not to confuse the competitors. But, now I'm talking to you Riot Games, think of who your customers really are, and for whom you have developed this GAME: For the usual players, not for big events. Give us something cool to look at. Some more beautiful landscapes and maps. Make the game live!

Maybe you could make a map and send it to them.

It is a competetive game so performance does matter (in higher ELO ranked at least) so keeping visuals in the background helps a lot there. Making new visuals for the maps doesn't really "pay off" as it costs a lot of resources and provides no real benefit (unless they sold the map skin for like 25 $).
