I played Volibear BRONZE 5 to PLAT!!!!!! HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS

Hi

Hi i have logged hundreds and hundreds of Volibear games. I Started playing this game since season 4 and pretty much only played Volibear in ranked from Bronze 5 all the way to plat and still climbing. I really enjoyed building Zehpyr on Volibear because it gave me HUGE atk speed and move speed as well as tenancy and cooldown. I think this item is BETTER than the trinity force on Volibear because its $1000 dollars cheaper, meaning I can get my offensiveness powerspike $1000 dollars sooner and be tanky $1000 dollars sooner. I really enjoyed playing him as a tanky fighter carry. Even in plat very often i still get scores such as 20/4/17. I tried full tank volibear and when compared to atk speed volibear, I just can't carry as hard carry and its WAY less fun to play.

SO NOW AFTER THE NEW UPDATE the zehpyr item has been DELETED, and to make things worse the super expensive triforce has its atk speed reduced by a WHOPPING 15%. So now, There is really no as good of an atk speed item anymore for volibear. Almost all my games i cant afford to build triforce because of how expensive it is. Im the main tank of team so tank has to be priority whereas before if im a bit ahead i can afford to go zehpyr first THEN go tanky which makes me a super strong dualist that can almost oneshot enemy adc and mages, literally. NOW im just building tank most of the time and its just not as fun to play anymore. To give you a perspective, Zehpyr gave 50% atk speed and 10% movespeed along with tenancy. Trinity force now only gives 15% atk speed and 5% move speed. That is 35% LESS atk speed on volibear and dont forget its MUCH more expensive so most of the time you cant afford to get that offensiveness first before tankyness.

So RIOT PLEASE relook into the items. You have made the adcs really strong this patch but seems like you forgot about the fighters that benifit from a combination atk speed tenancy, movespeed AND CD all in one package. NO ITEM now gives that pakage. And BOTORK is kinda useless and wasteful for champs with low life steal capabilities. **IN CONCLUSION, please re-look into the item balenng, think about the atk speed fighters like VOLIBEAR. Zehpry is gone and triforce is not as good on volibear when comcipared to before due to the atk speed reduction. I HOPE you can add an item into game in future patches that fits the need of tanky atk speed fighters such as Volibear. Please look into this riot. ** Thank you.

I understand that you cannot just look at one champ, but at the same time every champ matters. I'm giving my opinion to riot as an experienced volibear player and how the new update has negatively impact it. If Riot agrees to what im saying that maybe they will change something. After all this whole concept is new and riot is asking for opinions, and I gave mine simple as that. :)

Riot changed the items to create more diversity in different builds. So, for example, I can't press tab and say "LOL THIS GRAVES SO BAD LOOK AT HIS BUILD LOL" but instead I can look at an unfamiliar build like, "hey, I never thought of using that on Graves. I should check it out next game," because there are many more possibilities now. For example, before preseason, Kindred's recommended jungle item was purple smite with devourer. Now, it's chilling smite with warrior, though devourer still fares very well with her. (I personally take red smite with Kindred, but eh. To each his own). My Ekko jungle build is 100% fucked since the update. I haven't worked on finding a new build, but once I do I'll go back to pulling pentas every 3rd game as Ekko in the jungle. In my personal opinion, it's extremely boring to play the same champion every single game with the same build. Riot put a lot of effort into creating these new items specifically to create a broader spectrum for each champion, as a means to make them more unique. I mean, Ekko's my freakin' husband and I'm absolutely distraught that he's so impossible to jungle with now. But that's only until I can get a grip on his new build and his new clear path. Half the fun of a new champion is learning the build that suits your play style the best, and learning when or when not to use item actives in a fight. It's not that Volibear is out of the meta now, it's just that you need to find a new build for him. The amount of potential in the new items is limitless, it just requires the patience to discover all of it.
