[Champion Concept] Asteroth: the Dominant Will

Hey all. I kinda thought a bit how runeterra was sorta missing a hell. We have the personification of death, which is kindred, but what does it really boil down to once you kick the bucket?

Well, I won't answer that question, but I decided to make a demon-type champion whose whole thematic is the pure hate of everything that exists, and its wanting to just totally bring the lot of runeterra under eternal torment. Think Brand, but far worse. My champion’s goal is not total annihilation, but the domination of all living things under its own single and dominant will.

PASSIVE: Hellfire

Asteroth is a being of hellfire, hate, and utter contempt. He treads a path none dare follow, lest they be dominated by his singular will.

Asteroth is the scorching will of hell itself. As Asteroth moves, he gains exponential movement speed each second, maxing at 520, also creating a burning trail that deals 15% of his total attack damage in a line behind him as MAGIC DAMAGE over time. Being attacked will decay the movement speed buff over a period of 5 seconds. The burning damage, HELLFIRE, stacks 3 times in total, and each application lasts for 3 ticks each until it is applied again.

Asteroth’s cruelty knows no bounds; known for his whip, he takes sick pleasure in the suffering of others.

Asteroth conjures a fiery whip, slashing downwards and dealing 10/20/40/60/120 (+140%) of his total attack damage in a line in front of him as physical damage, applying hellfire and adding a stack of DOMINATION. Successfully attacking an enemy champion will put the ability on a 1.5 second cooldown, no matter the level. If Asteroth applies 3 stacks of domination, or doesn’t attack a champion using this ability, Asteroth will no longer get a 1.5 second reset.

When Asteroth successfully applies three stacks of domination using Torment, Asteroth in a small radius, can channel for one second to blink to an enemy champion, grabbing it by its throat and dominating it, channeling again for two seconds during this process. After the process is complete, Asteroth can choose to ‘flick’ the enemy champion away in any direction desired. Dominated champions suffer the consequences of dealing 15% less damage to Asteroth, having hellfire applied to themselves when they attack Asteroth.

Asteroth brings Hell’s regards to Runeterra’s doorstep, as well as drawing strength from its inner depths.

Asteroth conjures a portal to hell itself on flat terrain. When within it, Asteroth gains 25% damage resistance, and 20% more attack damage for its duration. When around it within a 300 range radius, these effects are effectively halved. Periodically, these portals create HELLSPAWN, prioritizing dominated champions as they surge forward, dealing fifty percent of Asteroth’s total attack damage, and slowing for 25% at all levels. Enemy champions, if within the portal, will suffer HELLSPAWN slow effects, as well have HELLFIRE applied to them periodically.

Asteroth suffers no one’s authority but his very own, and to make that clear, he lays waste to the weak and independent – and lays siege to the great and strong.

After channeling for 3 seconds, Asteroth conjures a portal, diving straight into Hell’s depths as he listens to the quiet mutterings of his enemies, granting him and his allies true sight of all those he has currently dominated. Asteroth, at any time, may choose to emerge within a 1500 from where he dove after 3 seconds, dealing massive AOE damage as physical damage, and also emerging as a greater demon with doubled auto attack range, 20% more HP based on his maximum health, and also applying HELLFIRE to all enemies around him. Hellfire, when Asteroth is SOVEREIGN, deals true damage instead of magic damage.

Note: The AOE damage is decreased/increased depending on how far away from the center of the ultimate you are. Being at its center, obviously, is a death wish.
