Fan Champion Concept. Metalmancer with alternate resource, armor shred, and a pull mechanic
Padrick, the Metalmancer Melee, Juggernaut
Passive - Has a resource called Metal, when an enemy is struck by a basic attack, bonus damage is dealt based on percent of metal Padrick has. Metal is expended and falls near the target and can be picked up restore spent metal. Metal slowly regens over time and is filled at spawn fountain.
Q - Jagged Javelin: Skillshot projectile that deals physical damage and pierces through minions, shredding the Armor of the first target struck by 10% / 12.5% / 15% /17.5% / 20% for 5 seconds. If struck with a second Javelin, the debuff resets it’s duration and applies an additional 5% / 6.25% / 7.5% / 8.75% / 10% armor shred. The Javelin can be walked over to refund some of the Metal cost and and refunding it’s Cooldown. Picking up second Javelin will refund Metal but not refund Cooldown. Costs Metal to cast. Cannot be cast 3 times in a row.
W - "metal pull/magnesis": Can be cast to metal in an area back to Padrick, dealing physical damage to to anyone hit but the pulled metal, slowing them and gaining metal based on how much metal is pulled. If An Enemy Champion is hit with Jagged Javelin, [W] can be cast over them to pull them to Padrick, Refunding Jagged Javelin’s Cooldown once before going on a full Cooldown and refunding metal. [W] can be pressed and held to channel the ability and give it a larger area of effect.
E - "aoe spike/spike pit": Summons a ring of metal spikes around Padrick, dealing physical damage, and dropping metal around him. Costs Metal to cast.
Ultimate - Shrapnel Purge: Padrick releases Shrapnel in all directions expending 60% of his current metal, dealing damage (based on expended) and piercing minions and displacing all enemies struck away from Padrick. Shrapnel Purge can be recast to pull Shrapnel Metal back to Padrick restoring 50% of spent Metal and displacing Enemy Champions is hit with the shrapnel towards Padrick dealing additional damage. First cast uses 60% of current Metal. Second cast restores 50% of spent metal.
By no means is this perfect, but I believe this is a strong kit concept. My younger brother and I developed a My Hero Academia OC with a knight aesthetic who could manipulate Carbon molecules. One day we thought, what if he was a league champion. where would he fit? The Carbon was replaced with Metal, and he became a rough metal-clad warrior kidnapped from his home in Shurima and put Noxian Militia. During the chemical bombing of the Ionian invasion, he escaped, assumed to be dead. Now he lives his own life free of Noxian control.
Some things like damage values or Metal costs are left missing since those kind of numbers would have to be weighted carefully to fit into whatever kind of meta he would be introduces to if he was to ever become a champion. the important part is the concept. What do you all think?
