Kiyanna, The Soul Child
I am currently working with the lore as well as a few sketches. I'm just posting this now to get the abilities out there. I don't have numbers yet... which kind of sucks because without them this kit just screams overtuned.
TL:DR Basic idea for her, Kiyanna can be played as a tank role or as a support. She is a child from the Shadow Isles who was promised by an apparition to be released to her family as long as she collects her 'missing toys'. The child accepted being naive to the fact that the apparition wants to claim her as her child, since she has been extremely effective at collecting 'missing toys' i.e souls, since she was the only one who was able to travel through Runeterra without the usuage of the Black Mist. Over time Kiyanna wonders how many toys she has to collect, and the apparition grants her her body, but still able to go to her ghost form from her time in the Shadow Isles. To save the child from heartbreak that her parent's passed away on these same islands years ago, the apparition claims to be her mother. Kiyanna happily accepts that as truth and continues to collect souls to please her 'Mommy'

“Play time, begins.”
Chapter 1: The Adoption
A rebellious and curious rascal, Kiyanna was always hungry for learning more about her teachings. Being raised in Demacia, she always heard of tales of the duo who would run to the Shadow Isles to purge the Black Mists and the creatures that spawned from it. Every day after school she would gather around with her friends to play games, and usually she would take the role of being Senna, knowing that she was lost in the Isles one day, but always wanting and aspiring to be like her. Although, while being Senna, that would task her friends to be the ghouls to chase her around, which eventually grew tiresome for her peers. What persuaded them even more that enough was enough, was her behavior when acting as Senna. Already a confident child, that confidence was elevated as Senna. As a research project, her teacher told her to give a presentation on their role model, and what they have contributed to Demacia. Which immediately sprouted the idea of doing the project on Senna.
When she came to school for the presentation, she was wearing an outfit that seemed like the colored opposite of Lucian. An all black cloak, with white runes on the tail of the coat. She wore white pants with black boots, she died her hair silver at the ends and had it flow downward along her back. And because she couldn’t bring things that looked like a weapon to school, it seemed like she took a shoe box and taped it to the top of a plastic bottle that was bent to look like the handle of a gun. The enthusiasm with the project was phenomenal for the teacher, but for the students she was a laughing stock as she claimed she would one day be like Senna, and she would fight with Lucian and Senna on the Shadow Isles and be the first child to walk on their soils. Being laughed at all day, she couldn’t wait for the school day to be over, and as soon as the bell sounded she ran out of the school with one of the boys shouting,
“I’m guessing that’s your version of Lucian’s dash?” And laughing with a group of kids around him.
Fueled with anger, Kiyanna stormed throughout Demacia in search for Lucian, which she happened to stumble upon when already in dismay.
“Mister, can you take me to the Shadow Isles?”,
She said in broken segments as she was trying to gather herself in between her tears. She looked up at Lucian as tears continued to roll down her face. Lucian’s face broke down ever so slightly. His serious demeanor softening just a bit, as he crept to one knee and wiped a tear off her cheek
“I don’t think I can do that. It’s way too dangerous for you.”,
Once he wiped her tear his hand rested on her shoulder as he softly chuckled and shook his head at the naive little girl. Her eyes squinted with anger she was already made fun of for this tall order and now the one chance she had, he’s laughing at her too
“Stop laughing at me! I want to be like Senna!”,
She pouted and shook his hand off of her shoulder. Lucian’s relaxed face became stern again as she said the name ‘Senna’, he remembered what happened to her, and he definitely did not want that to happen to a child.
“Kid, Senna is a tall order to fill. I get that she might be your idol. But that is business for us adults to handle. You shouldn’t worry about things like that at your age.”
Kiyanna wiped her final tears her sniffling halted for a moment, as she took off her improve costume. Her head hung downwards again,
“What was all of this anyway?”
Lucian asked to her, looking at her costume and the prop gun that was in her hands
“I was doing a project on Senna today at school.”
she mumbled as her head was still head downward, she then looked at the gun and continued to speak,
“I told my classmates I was going to be the next Senna, and they laughed at me all day. But you believe me right?”
Lucian’s face returned to being soft as he let out a sigh and shook his head,
“Look, kid. Have a seat over there.”
He motioned his head to a bench that was nearby, at the fountain where Galio stood.
"Now first off what’s your name?”,
He asked already feeling regret to his mindset.
“Kiyanna.”
She mumbled again as she slid her feet across the pavement and flopped on the park bench. Lucian walked over to her, then kneeled again to look her in the eyes.
“Kiyanna. I will take you over there. Just this one night. You will stay in my boat the whole time you are there and you will not step a single foot on the islands themselves. It is way too dangerous for me to even do this. It will be a quick field trip for you, and that’s it. Do you understand me?”
Kiyanna perked up instantly and was filled with so much joy she started to cry again, and hugged Lucian,
“And you will show me Senna!”
Lucian chuckled at her reaction, hugging back and then sighing,
**“I’m gonna try. I’ll have more motivation to get her. Tell your parents that you will be training with me tonight, and have them and you at the docks at 8pm, okay?” **
She nodded, and surely enough Lucian proceeded to meet the parent’s providing rules and strategies to calm them down on her venture.
As they rode in the canoe, she already began coughing as the Mists were too dense for her body to even handle. Lucian shook his head, and wrapped a scarf around her face to wear to filter out some of the Mist’s density as they continued on their journey. He also turned multiple fans on her direction, cooling her body temperature so that none of the escaped souls would be hungry for her warm body. The canoe began swaying back and forth as the winds, rain and fog began to pick up. Upon reaching the terrain at the edge of the island, he tossed two hooks out, with ropes tethered to each hook, in between the hooks there were trusses of metal for Lucian to step on as he walked out of the canoe.
“Wait here.”
He said as he grabbed his guns, he then looked at Kiyanna bundled up and in between all of the fans, he looked at the night and realized how heavy the mists were tonight, and handed her Senna’s gun.
“If I find who i’m looking for, I only need one shot. Here. This is your little souvenir for the night. If anything scary comes this way, aim this part at them, and push that button. It will make them disappear.”
He continued to instruct her on how to use the gun, as he tied each trussed to the bridge he made to make sure she didn’t drift off farther into the Mists. While he was talking, she nodded and acted everything out to keep the information fresh in her mind. Lucian began to walk away holding the gun upwards and resting on his shoulder, letting out one last sigh before submerging himself into the Mist.
The night was dark, and being on this island made it pretty much impossible to see anything that was not directly in front of them. Kiyanna watched Lucian travel, and with not even four steps, the light radiating from Lucian’s gun faded into the dense fog. She looked up and around the canoe. Every wail made her twist her head, every shot from Lucian made her jump, knowing that the Mist monsters were coming, but not knowing from where. She heard another voice from behind her and immediately held the trigger and fired into the Mist. Lucian heard, but only smiled, assuming that she listened to what he told her and continued farther,
**“Come on Senna, I bought someone who’s very eager to meet you tonight. Make this fight easy on me.” **
He spoke to himself, praying to his gun as he continued his trek.
Kiyanna however, was not fine at all, as when she shot into the night, she broke one of the fans that were cooling her down, which caused the howling of the night to become louder as they seemed to swarm for her. The souls were coming for her, and waltzed around the new vessel. She continued firing not letting go of the trigger and began to shoot the boat, and even more fans, causing her to sink slowly. In the night, a faint voice was heard. It was a female voice, stern yet calming. As if it didn’t want to harm her.
“Stop. Leave her be.”
The voice said, and the mist monsters slowed their swirling around Kiyanna, but hovered in place, the faceless ghouls showing their teeth, tongues and claws to Kiyanna. As they ceased, the woman began to emerge from the mist, her feet being the first thing seen as over grown claw shaped toenails seemed to rip through the mists. Trailing upwards in glance, her legs bore black bracers, then a Roman flaud which was also all black. She wore a black chestplate, and through it were three teal glowing spearheads. The face was revealed to be of a woman, Kalista emerged from a portal within the Mists.
“Do not be scared, little one.” she echoed, offering her hand to the child, “I will show you what Lucian can not. Leave your weapon.”
Kiyanna looked to the hand, then looked to the gun and aimed it to her face, shaking violently. She fired a shot, but she was so distraught that it completely missed, shooting into the sky and recoiling downward into the haul of the ship. This made a booming noise so loud that she jumped and squealed at the top of her lungs. Kalista was alerted by the scream, and covered Kiyanna’s mouth, pulling her into the mists. The mists being so dense, she stopped breathing and passed out in Kalista’s arms. The scream alerted Lucian and he immediately began dashing through the forest, he noticed Kiyanna was being hoisted away by Kalista, and picked up Senna’s gun charging and aiming both at Kalista. But all Kalista did was chuckle.
“Lucian, do you really want to do this in front of a child?”
Her laugh echoed again as she raised one of her hands upward, conjuring the spears to fire at Lucian. He dashed out of the way of two of them, and on the third, it penetrated through his leg, and bound him to the ground. He cried out in pain, and began to try to remove the spear, but as the spear held him down, Kalista commanded the spirits to fight him. He fired shots rapidly at them all but saw Kiyanna going farther into the portal.
“Kiyanna!”
Lucian screamed, as a single tear rolled down his eyes, trying to fire at Kalista but it was far too late, the portal began to close, and on top of all of that, the recoil from Kiyanna’s mistake cracked his canoe, so he had no way of escaping the Isles, other than to fight until morning.
Abilities:
Passive: Cuddle With Me When an enemy champion deals the final blow to Kiyanna, rather than dying she possess the target that caused the last hit. While in this possessed state, the enemy is slowed on initial entry, as well as brittled for the whole duration. When the enemy dies, rather than going back to base she continues to haunt more enemies, travelling to the closest enemy and applying the same effects. When she respawns the debuff is removed.
Ability 1: Soul Tag "Tag! You're it!"
Kiyanna wields her spectral key ring to her soul chests. When she activates this ability she brings a key to her location to hold. As the effect is active, she uses the key for her basic attacks, and after 3 basic attacks the opponent becomes feared. Additionally she can throw the key, causing an immediate brittle to the enemy struck. The thrown version of this ability also works on allies, allowing them to become part of her collection. This state is known as being Soulbound. In this state, the ally is immune to damage, and gains increased movement speed, but does not have ability to attack or use abilities. After the phase is over, she allows the ally to come back to their original bodies, fearing all enemies in an area around them. She can cast this ability on herself as well, and gaining the same effects, but she can not cast this on another ally if she use it on herself. She stores up to 3 charges with this ability, but can get more keys by using Clean Up.
Ability 2: Play Date (Quotes for this are down below)
Kiyanna splits her souls from her body to enter another ally as a dash. When activating this ability, Kianna’s body is locked in place as the soul dashes outward. When she splits herself like this, her body stays on the battlefield as a pet, and can be controlled by the player. When she is in an ally, the initial dash provides the ally with a shield. This shield is permanent as long as Kiyanna is inside their body. While in the body, she is able to freely cast her other abilities, and the abilities will come out of both her body and her spirited ally. Once her body is damaged to a certain point, she must return to her body, and any damage taken from the shields she utilized on allies, is stored, and converted to a burst of healing into her main body, upon entry. She can enter the bodies of minions, jungle camps, and ally champions. When dashing to bodies, she must wait 10 seconds before returning to that same body. If the champion dies she is automatically returned to her body. If the dash misses, she will pause for a second before slowly walking back to her body in sadness.
Ability 3: Clean Up “Mommy says I have to put you away.”
Kiyanna’s mommy puts her time out and puts away all of her toys. Kiyanna casts out a targeter that has an AOE effect in the center. If they are hit with the outer circle, only the damage is dealt and they are slowed. If the enemy is hit in the center, they are dealt damage and rooted in place. Once the root duration is over the enemy is slowly dragged towards Kiyanna’s body, regardless of whether her spirit is in it or not. If two are casted, rather than it being one AOE circle, it becomes a Venn Diagram Style of AOE attack, as the two hands clasp together, dealing %max health damage in addition to the initial damage of the ability as well as the pull being instant. There will be a radius that slowly shrinks with the pull, as long as the enemy moves to the outer ring they will not be affected by the next effect. Additionally, by damaging the body with 3 basic attacks, the tether will break. When fully pulled to Kiyanna, they are rooted again, as she jams a key into their body and letting them walk free. The key dealing damage over time to the enemy as well as slowing them for the duration of the key’s activation. If the enemy dies when the key is active she gains another key in addition to the 3 she can wield.
Ultimate: Play Space "Let me show you all the toys I have!"
Kiyanna summons her toy chest in a large AOE. The enemy champion closest to the center is brought into her play space with her. They are the only two champions visible to the selected enemy, however for the other enemies on the team, that enemy is untargetable for the duration of her ultimate. In this ultimate she is also split from her body, and this is the only area where being split from her body does not make her return to it. During her ultimate Kiyanna can see everything going on around her, but no one is able to target her spiritual self, only her physical body. As a spirit, when she is close enough to the enemy chosen, she dashes forward, dealing damage, stopping the effects of her ultimate but is now able to possess that enemy, gaining control of their movement, but unable to cast abilities through them. In addition to being possessed, similarly to her passive, the enemy is brittled and slowed. She stays in the enemy with control over them for 5 seconds, if the enemy dies while she’s in control, the duration is extended, and she possess the next enemy closest to her. Once the duration is over she is returned to her body, with her ultimate and ‘Possession’ being placed on cooldown. During the effect, her physical body has a heightened threshold before being pulled back to it, if the threshold is met in time, the ultimate will be cancelled and placed on a reduced cooldown, however, ‘Possession’ will not be placed on cooldown.

I wanted it to feel like she doesn't realize how dangerous the characters in the Shadow Isles are. Most of them mask it as being 'adult stuff', or say she's too young to understand. The only ones who showed what they could do was Kalista and Thresh. Kalista seems like a superhero to Kiyanna, because she 'get's rid of the bad people' as well as gives her a new 'toy' to play with. Thresh showed Kiyanna what he does, because Kiyanna was annoying her, and seeing Thresh torture the innocent ones that Kalista was trying to save painted him as being the villain to her.
Hecarim: “I’ve always wanted a pony!” “DODODO- DODODO- DODODO-DO-DO-DOOOO” (CHARGE!) “Giddy Up!” “I’ll tell Aunty Kali you let me visit!”
Thresh: (Thresh's lantern is kept on his body, because of Kiyanna. She would often steal souls from his lantern to put in her 'toy chest') “Hey! Stop hogging all of the toys!” “Give me back my toys!” “Even though you’re a meany head, I love wearing your jacket!” “-squeaking marker- This. Is. Ki. Ki's!” (In this interaction, I wanted it to be like she’s taking the lantern from him, so she's writing her name on it to 'make it hers')
Kalista: (She respects her as much as 'Mommy' even calls her 'Aunty' at times) “Don’t throw me! Or else i tell Mommy you’re being mean!” “Ooo you look pretty!”” “Why weren't you my Mommy?” “Aunty Kali!”
Lucian: (An idea for possibly Senna being the apparition) “Mommy has a crush on you! Don't tell her I told you.” “Are you… Daddy?” “Mommy talks about you a lot.”
Elise: (Didn't know what to do with her) “No way! 8 legs!” “The itsy bitsy spider went up the waterspout!” “Then came the rain that washed the spider out!” “Out came the sun that dried up all the rain!” “The itsy bitsy spider should not do that again!”
Karthus: “Oooo You’re that guy from that band!” “Do you know any lullabies?” “Do-Re-Miii-Faaaaa-Soooo-Laaaaa-Tiiiiiii-Dooooooo, How was that?”
Maokai: “Hey! The water is this way!” “I thought hair was annoying, I can’t imagine brushing leaves!”
Mordekaiser: “Hey! This suit is empty!” “Roomy!” “Echo-echo-cho-co-co-o-o”
Yorick: “Stop doing that! You’re making me give up my toys!” (whiny voice) “Nope. I totally don’t have a soul for one of your ghouls” (sarcastic) “I don't wanna visit you anymore!”
Evelynn: “How come you get to be naked and not get in trouble?!” “I’m not too little! Let me see what you do!” (pouty) “You’re really pretty!”
