Star Guardians Season 3 [2.0]

I think i could have figured out what we could have as Star Guardians this year. As many of you know i'm a big fan of the line and i'm always in constant search of leaks/images and answers in general, both from the skin themselves and the lore, which is one of the most interesting that rioters have ever written, imo. So, for what i could think of, i've been asking myself: 1)Why we don't know what happened to ahri companions from the earlier group yet? We know that they are probably dead, but not how. This leads to the other questions: 2)How a Star Guardian die? 3)How the survivor of a team continue their job as protectors of the Universe? I speculate that this year we could find the answers. The reasons are many: I) not be to repetitive with the evolution of the line and concepts II) tell something whose "seeds" had been planted last year III) explore and expand the SG Universe.

For these reason i think that this year we could see a glimpse of the past, and not of the present Star Guardians. Moreover, i presume that Riot will grant us not 5, but 3 Star Guardian skins, like they usually do with a saturated line like the SG one is..maybe. (two examples: PROJECT last year, Pool Party, this summer). And you wanna know why i think that..? Here's the main rational reason, and maybe the speculation:

Ahri holds 3 Gems from another era/group = 3 deceased Guardians.

Blue One
Gold One
Green One

So.. Who were they? We will see them this year like i suppose? My predictions/hopes are:

Blue One = Leona
Gold One = Taric
Green One = (?)

I like the idea of having 3 skins for dead Star Guardian members, it would make the story deeper by directly showing us that not everything is sparkles and happiness. That what they are doing is actually dangerous and some don't survive the duty.

Could definitely imagine this being the case. And when I was looking at the picture of the broken brooches you provided, I noticed something I wasn't aware of before. Maybe the brooches give a clearer hint at who these dead Star Guardians have been?

If we look at them closely, then we see that all 3 of them are damaged in different ways. The blue one has clear cuts. The green one has holes, looks like it got shot with bullets or a crossbow. And lastly the gold one, the damage pattern seems more chaotic, like it corroded by acid or damaged by magic.

Maybe these are all hints. It could be that these former Star Guardians got corrupted and started fighting each other. Or maybe it is just there to symbolise the weapon that the associated Star Guardian was wielding back then.

With that in mind, maybe we can assume the following. (I will call out every champ fitting the criteria, I know some of them are extremely unlikely, since they got skins recently. But I will still name them, it already happened in the past that champions got 2 skins really close to each other.)

The first Star Guardian (blue?) is using a bladed weapon. Possible candidates could be: Akali Diana Fiora Irelia Leona Nidalee Sivir Riven Xayah

The second Star Guardian (green?) is a marksman using firearms or a crossbow. The list of contestants includes: Kaisa Quinn Tristana Vayne Caitlyn

And for the third Star Guardian (gold?), I would guess that the champion is using some kind of magic with destructive values. The ones coming to my mind here would be: Annie Karma Lissandra Nami Morgana Kayle Orianna Sona Shyvana Sejuani Taliyah Zoe

Just to give my own hopes: if it would turn out to be true what I wrote above, then I hope that these 3 are the champions we will see as the next 3 Star Guardians: Fiora Quinn Sona

I dont sven remotely think Taric or Leona of all champs could be her past teammates. I would legit expect Ivern more than either of them.

This year we already are getting star guardian event. It is called High Noon. Seriously tho, Riot is skipping star guardians and Project this year. They told us so in that dev diary.
