"With clear eyes, seek out knowledge, and secure Gems."

-Taric, the Gem Knight

Gems are truly outrageous, but the outdated kit our beloved Taric has been left with is a set of Gems that needs some series dusting and reorganizing.

So without further adieu, here we go!

Passive- Radiance: Taric's Outrageous gems temporarily radiate an Aura that applies a different effect to himself and all nearby allies for a few seconds depending on his Armor's Color. This benefit can change during the duration of the Aura if Taric's armor changes color during the duration:

Red: Taric and all nearby allies gain a large AD and AP buff.

Green: Taric and all nearby allies gain a large amount of Damage resistance.

Blue: Taric and all nearby allies gain bonus movement speed, attack speed, and CDR.

Q- Bedazzle: Taric Uses his Gem Magic to focus a ray of Light through his Gem Hammer onto an Enemy Champion, dealing Magic damage and applying a different effect depending on the color of his armor:

Red: Taric deals double magic damage.

Green: Taric reduces the amount of damage the target deals for a few seconds.

Blue: Taric stuns the target for a few seconds.

W- Shatter: Passive; Taric's Gems are tough, granting him bonus armor.

Active: Taric Shatter's his Gem Armor, dealing damage to nearby enemies and applying different effect based on the color of his armor:

Red: Taric's Gems embed themselves in the enemy, shredding away their armor and mr for a few seconds.

Green: Taric's Gem will imbue themselves into nearby allies and Taric himself, healing them.

Blue: Taric's Gems will freeze the enemies movement, slowing them depending on how close they were to Taric at the time. If they were too close, they are snared instead.

E- Gem Strike: Taric launches a sharp shard of Gem from his hammer in a straight line, striking the first champion it collides with, and applying a different effect based on his armor's color:

Red: If it is an Enemy, it deals Magic Damage. If it is an ally, it grants them bonus Armor and MR Penetration for a short period.

Green: If it is an Enemy, it wipes all Buffs (Not debuffs) from the enemy champions and applies grievous wounds. If Ally, it wipes all Debuffs (not buffs) and heals them.

Blue: If it is an Enemy, the Shard will knock them aside. If it is an ally, it will grant them a temporary movement speed buff.

R: Refractal Armor: Taric can activate his ult to change the color of his armor between Red, Green, and Blue. Each color will give a different effect. This ability is available at level one, and leveling it up will instead upgrade Taric's Passive.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this! I tried my best to ensure all of his current mechanics stayed in place in one form or another whilst freshening up his kit and throwing in variety!

As a Taric main, I can say that I don't like this kit concept.

I think for being in a support position that the changing of the colors constantly is too complicated.

They are all so situational and I can see it being a real problem in team fights or securing kills because it would be almost like a constant Twisted Fate card selection.

Not only that, but it would potentially give a tell when you are about to do certain skills. For example, people would see when Taric is Green as an opportunity to engage because his Green skills benefit the least damage-wise in a fight or trade. But when he's blue, you know to keep your distance due to stuns and hard CC.

This concept works with Gnar and Twisted Fate because they can choose their engagements, but for a support, choosing your engagements isn't really in your hands a lot of the time.

Not to mention, the changing of the gem colors would conflict with the skins he already has such as Emerald Taric and Bloodstone Taric.

I did enjoy reading it though and I do commend your really good imagination and creativity!

I would like this idea alot more if: Passive and R are reversed:

**Passive- Radiance: **Taric's Outrageous gems radiate an Aura that applies a different effect to himself and all nearby allies for a few seconds depending on his Armor's Color. If Taric's Armor is not currently radiating an aura, he will gain mana and health regain, but grant no aura. (CDR is also an option)

**R: Refractal Armor: **Taric's Armor begins emiting a colored aura, granting bonus effects to all his abilities. Activate to change the color of Taric's aura (Between Red, Green, Blue, and none). Every color will give Taric different benefits.

thoughts?

wow, really nice idea for Taric! If i can add one thing though his ult should have a passive that whenever Taric takes damage its cooldown is reduced by 1 second, and when Taric ults he stays the color he ulted in for the duration of the ult aura. This would let the Taric player have some consistency in his kit, being able to choose between damage, healing, or cc for the next teamfight.

I like That idea about changing the passive and ult around alot better, actually. Makes more sense and solves that issue the taric main suggested with the whole not being able to control things.

I will reverse the R and Passive.
