Mordekaiser Rework - Newest Addition to the Darkin Warriors?

Morderkaiser, the Steel Darkin

Mordekaiser, as of preseason 2017, isn't in the best of places. He has no favorable meta, and he is rarely seen because he is such a niche pick. Sure, he's a decent lane bully and when you take him bot lane, you remove the one person in the game who can kite you; but, he's restricted to about three supports that work with him and taking him top doesn't stop bot lane from creating problems later in the game. Also, pizza feet.

I feel like Mordekaiser's lore and gameplay is flexible enough for a complete overhaul. The numbers, of course, are not final or solid by any means, simply to show what kind of kit I expect from him. What I'm going for is a really graceful but menacing image, swinging the mace around with ease while still having its weight. As for gameplay, I went for a versatile carry, almost like a cross between Riven and Fiora, the difference being Mordekaiser needs to either burn his ult or get warmed up before becoming the most effective in fights. I believe this will create a lot of decision making and planning where once there was face rolling.

The biggest issue I have with my design is the overloading. I have had this issue with a lot of other champion designs that I have made, where I eventually just create an unkillable tank that can chain-CC by themselves. I just want to make sure I haven't done something similar to this idea, focusing mainly around his Q; the goal I had for Echoing Strikes was to keep the single target damage of his current Q and add in the pushing power of his ult (dragon).

Any feedback would be nice, and please share with others so I can get the most advice.

There is no reason to change Mordekaiser in a Darkin.

Him being this overlord who used necromancy to further his dominion even after his death has enough power and charisma to be one of the best lore ever written. Not to mention that right now he can use the Black Mist at will which brings him on a demigod level of power.

I also wouldn't move from the Juggernaut class because having a massive steel armored warrior doesn't really sound fitting in the same class of Yasuo, Fiora, Tryndamere with a bit of Riven.

Can we stop using the word Darkin as if it's a race for failed reworks/lore or something...?

The darkin or the versatile kit does NOT fit mordekaiser at all. He's better of remaining an undead tyrant. Plus, we don't want a replay of the Varus lore disaster. [sg-lulu]
