[CHAMPION CONCEPT] Inedia - The Hunger For Life

This is meta breaker solo bot lane champion. Yes, i am not crazy, i want to create a solo bot lane champion. Goals:

  1. Champions should benefit from going 1v2;
  2. Champions shouldn't get same benefits while playing 1v1 in top;
  3. Champions should be able to farm easily against range enemies;
  4. Champion should be able to deal with harass and pokes;
  5. Champion should be carry oriented;
  6. Champion should be able to stay extended period of time in the lane.

Class: marksman (probably) Attack range: 500


Passive: Greedy and Hungry

  • When there is an imbalance of nearby enemy champions ([enemy champions] - [friendly champions including you] > 0), then minion kills will award you with 10% more experience and will heal you for 3/5/7/9/11/13/15/17/19 health. In addition, you will receive 10% more gold from any kills you make, but you will not receive any gold from assisting other champions.

Range: 950


Q: Spirit of Hunger

  • Send out a shadowy ghost into targeted area for 5 seconds. It will attack any nearby enemy minion, who is bellow 30% of its maximum health, and enemy champions, who are at any health percentage. This ghost will prioritize to attack enemy champions. Its attacks will execute minions, who are bellow 55 health. Ghost will attack only one enemy at one time. Your ghost can't be attacked.

Range: 800 Ghost's attack radius: 250 Ghost's attack speed: 0.8 (+60/70/80/90/100% of your bonus attack speed) Ghost's attack damage: 30/45/60/75/90 (+70% of your bonus attack damage) Cooldown: 8/7/6/5/4 seconds + 5 seconds of duration Mana cost: 60/64/68/72/76


W: Shadow Scythe

  • Throw a shadow scythe in front of you. It will deal 70/90/110/130/150 (+90% of your attack damage) physical damage to all enemies it pass through. If it pass through an enemy champion, that champion will get his movement speed reduced by 75% for 1 second and scythe will split in a cone pattern into 3 smaller scythes, each dealing 33% of its normal damage. Smaller scythes will have 400 additional range. This ability will execute minions, who are bellow 80/100/120/140/160 health. Enemy will not suffer damage multiple times, if he is touched by same scythe multiple times. Smaller scythes doesn't split and don't slow enemy champions.

Range: 700 Big scythe radius: 150 Small scythe radius: 75 Cooldown: 6 seconds Mana cost: 80/85/90/95/100


E: Dome of Darkness

  • At your current location create a stationary area of darkness for 3 sec. Enemies, who are outside of this area, can't see what is happening inside of this area, even if they have ward in there. Only true sight or entering this area can show what is happening inside. Passive: you will take 8/11/14/17/20% less physical damage from projectiles and physical damage dealing ranged basic attacks. This is calculated before armor and other damage reducing effects.

Radius: 260/280/300/320/340 Cooldown: 16 sec Mana cost: 90


R: Devour Them

  • Cause your spirit of hunter to become semi independent for 10 seconds. It will follow you and attack any nearby enemies. Your other abilities will have different effects, while this ability is active. While this ability is active, your ghost can score a critical strikes and will have critical strike chance equal to yours.
  • Q - will cause your ghost to rush towards targeted location, dealing 150/200/250% of its normal damage to all enemies it pass through.
  • W - shadow scythe will be released out of your ghost, instead of you. It will deal 10/15/20% more damage.
  • E - dome will be created at your ghost's current location and will last 0.5 / 1 / 1.5 seconds longer.
  • R - cause your ghost to rush to your current location.

Ghost's stats: same as Q. If you haven't ranked it up, rank 1 Q will be used for ghost's stats. Leash range: 900 Cooldown: 120/105/90 seconds Mana cost: 100

The only thing I really like about this concept is E - it's really creative idea, would definitly bring a new kind of CC - big like for that.

Unfortunetly the rest of this kit is crap to me. First the purpose - you know in high elo games (especially in team games) it's pretty normal to do a lane swap. When creating a champion you should think about impact it will have on game. Laning phase is only the begging of game. Anyone with a brain would just swap lanes, or let adc to solo bot.

Anyway the kit doesn't seem really good to me. It's only hardcore farmer. I dont think it would be fun to play. The Q seems pretty much like Swains Q to me, the W is boosted Gnars Q and the R.... I don't really see the point of that - I guess it's supposed to be some kind of power up, but it doesn't really seem interesting to me.

What you suggest is perma ban and if it's nerfed it will be neverpick. Kit is overloaded with stuff and it would be a nightmare to balance.

Even if it's tuned more into the 2vs1 and no power 1vs1 scenario, then people will still ban it just cause no one wants to lane swap every game.

This champ has the "bandaid" problem. You really want a unique concept to work so you are willing to throw a bunch of bells and whistles on it to do it, just like Rito did with Kindred.

Let me explain one problem I see immediately: you want this champ to benefit in 2v1 lanes? Ok so she will need the stats to at least go even against a random adc and support, on top of not only getting more experience simply for laning alone but also from her passive? If she doesn't have incredible base stats then her passive don't matter because she will be zoned and starved all laning phase. Now, if she has the stats to keep up 2v1 in the first place, why not play her top or mid, or with a support and just ignore the passive. she won't need assist gold as the adc and her passive will be useless late game anyway.

You're looking at a choice between OP or very weak with no clear middle ground without a ton of bandaid measures which make a champion a pain in the ass to play against and impossible to balance very well.

You might have some thematic problems with KogMaw, as he is the living hunger, but other than that, this looks solid, mate. Got to say, picture is very good. Couldn't stop myself from checking this out.

P.S. a little problem with R: when R is active, it doesn't look like reactivating R will have any cooldown. Second use of R doesn't do much, so that may be intentional, but if you add cooldown to reactivation, it could do more, than just cause your spirit to rush to you.

the idea to have a solo bot laner is nice but its not new (I remember back in season 1 I used to see mundo and xin going solo bot). what I'm going with is you can have a champ go solo bot without limiting it to be specifically that. and maybe consider a passive that doesn't discourage ganks from your own team? I think with a few tweaks you can have a great concept here

My only question is what would happen to the 5th champion which would normally go bot lane? I imagine very few players would want to have to deal with a duo jungle, mid, or top.

lol whats up with the ghostly champ concepts I read like 8 of them after i just woke up are you the same person who has a fetish for ghost but overall this champs seems good .
