Mahondar - The Void Fathership
A video game that has always inspired me is Starcraft II. My favorite unite is the void ray because I love his design and his voice. Thus the void ray is the influence for this hero in design and game play.
Mahondar is a slow moving hero who doesn't turn in place but instead has a turning radius he has to follow making him very cumbersome to maneuver. Mahondar also lacks an auto attack as well as any crowd control. However, what he lacks in these departments he makes up for extremely high dps thanks to high damage, low cost, and low cool downs.
Passive Orbital Command: Each time Mahondar casts a spell, he gains a stack of Deep Space. Each stack of Deep Space increases the casting range of all his spells as well as his sight range.
Q Thermal Disruptor: Mahondar charges his arc beam cannons by drawing in surrounding energy. After a 2 second delay, Mahondar fires two beams where the cursor is pointing. The two beams fire at either ends of a cone and cross each other dealing magic damage as they pass through enemy units. Enemies take damage from both beams.
W Proton Collider: Mahondar fires a beam from his void crystal in a line. If it hits an enemy it deals magic damage, decreases their magic resistance, and locks on dealing 2 more instances of damage. Each time this hits an enemy, Mahondar gains a stack of Prismatic Alignment. Each stack makes one of his oscillating arms light up and increases the damage and magic resistance reduction. Hitting the same enemy repeatedly increases the stacks up to three.
E Armada: Mahondar creates a small unmanned probe which become his auto attack. Each probe takes 3 seconds to create. When the probes attack an enemy the follow it and increase in speed until they reach their target. The probes have an incredible cast range and reveal fog of war. Mahondar can hold up to 7 probes. Each probe deals magic damage and return to Mahondar after delivering their payload. The probes can be attacked by enemies. This spell does not interrupt movement.
R Twilight Core: Passively grants upgrades to Mahondar. As Mahondar moves he infinitely gains speed over time. He loses this boost when he stops moving. In addition, Mahondar gains a new resource which is Void Aura. This grants Mahondar an impenetrable shield which absorbs damage. When the shield is destroyed it goes into cooldown and is restored after the cooldown ends.
