Mayu, the Maiden of Lost Souls

Stats: Attack - 25% Health - 30% Magic - 75% Difficulty - 80%

Attributes: Primary - Support Secondary - Mage

Abilities: Passive - Will of the Lost Upon death, Mayu recovers nearby allies' health and mana 10% of her ability power. Each ally is then given a 2 second buff on Armor, Magic Resist, Movement, Attack Damage, and Ability Power that's 10% of each stat.

First Ability - Sharing Life Mayu fires a magic projectile from her staff that deals magic damage to the target it hits, then heals nearby allies within the radius of impact except Mayu.

Second Ability - Fist of Angered Spirits Once active, Mayu's next basic attack leaps her into her target to smack them with the head of her staff, dealing AOE damage to enemies within the radius. The initial target takes magic damage and is slowed for 1 second. You know how Yuna from Final Fantasy X attacks her enemies by wacking them with her staff? That's what Mayu does with this attack.

Third Ability - Deceiving Soul Once active, within 5 seconds, if Mayu gets attacked by an enemy champion, she will block the damage and disappear, leaving behind a fake dead body of her that will vanish in 3 seconds or until and ally walks over it and collect health. During those 3 seconds, she remains invisible. Once the 3 seconds expire Mayu reappears but will make a loud noise that nearby enemies and allies will hear. It's just like the Dead Ringer from Team Fortress 2 only Mayu's fake body heals her allies if they walk over it.

Ultimate - Life Trade Mayu casts a bolt of the lost spirits' power that deals True damage 10% of her ability power to the selected target. If the selected target has recently killed an ally, killing the target in 5 seconds from the kill will revive that ally with 10% health left. If the ally is killed again within 5 seconds from the revival, no reward will be given to the killer and it won't count as another kill. The revival effect won't work if the ally already has another reviving effect active (Such as Guardian Angel, Zillean's Chronoshift, or Sion's Glory in Death).

Synergy: Works well with -

• To ensure Mayu's safety once Fate's Call has been active, Mayu can use Deceiving Soul to have the next enemy attack vanish her so she can run away from enemies.

• Sion can have Glory in two deaths in one fight. After weakening his killer and the other enemies, Mayu can finish the job by using Life Trade to slay Sion's killer, reviving him again and have another glory in another death if he wants.

• Zilean can either revive twice or have two allies return from the dead with Mayu's help as long as Zilean has Chronoshift available.

Struggles against -

• Shen's Stand United ability definitely blocks the Life Trade attack from killing Mayu's target, preventing revival of her allies.

• Undying Rage is the one thing that let's Tryndamere get away with murder of his first victim and Mayu if he chooses. Mayu will have no choice but to run with Deceiving Soul to get away from Tryndamere's Undying Rage.

• You can't trade lives with a shadow, nor can you deceive it if the shadow marks you for death. Zed's the master of shadows so Mayu cannot hide from his Death Mark once he has her marked. She can't trade a life if she's the intended target.

Tips:

• Playing as Mayu

Get back out of enemy harm as soon as you use Fist of Angered Spirits. Deceiving Soul is your best way out of it. Mayu is meant to support her teammates by killing. Time your kills correctly, especially with Life Trade once it's available. Try making sure you revive your most powerful teammate if he or she has been killed. That way, you can save them time to recover or continue fighting. Use Deceiving Soul at your lowest health. Even the announcer is fooled if you block the next attack that could have taken out your remaining health.

• Playing against Mayu

Target Mayu first. She can't trade her killer's life to revive herself. Turn your focus on Mayu once she uses Fist of Angered Spirits. Search her out if she tries to use Deceiving Soul to escape, especially when she uses it around 's Continue searching for Mayu even if she has taken damage that should have killed her. She might have used Deceiving Soul to escape. Wait until the Life Trade effect wears off the effect enemy. Then land the kill on the target again to get gold and experience.

Lore: Many people in Valoran have gone missing over the years. Many of them were children, abducted or murdered. They haven't been found for many years afterwards. They were all left with dissatisfaction. They can never rest in peace until someone finds and solve their mystery.

That's when Mayu comes in. Mayu was raised as a shrine maiden from Ionia who takes care of the dead and banishes evil spirits. But little does she know about the lost spirits until her first encounter with one.

One day, she said hi to a man without knowing that he was a lost spirit who died at a young age. She was soon being followed by a group of people who wanted her help. No one else, even a mystical being could see these lost souls. Only Mayu could and they all want to seek help from Mayu to free their spirits and finally rest in peace.

Mayu wanted to keep the stalkers away by trying to banish them like they were evil spirits. But she couldn't banish them because they weren't evil. They are only lost. The only way they could leave her alone is if she helps them with what they want. She began her travels around Valoran to solve the mysteries of each lost soul. She was a natural at solving every case. The lost souls consider her as their maiden who will have them freed whenever she finds them.

Mayu didn't realize that her work of freeing these lost spirits have made them want to return to her just to protect her from anyone who would try to hurt her. Assassins, hired thugs, mercenaries, monsters, whatever attack Tali, the spirits protect her by deceiving the attacker. Any friend of Mayu is being protected as well under her command. The spirits gladly obey her, knowing that she will always make the right choices were her dark spiritual powers, punishing the people that brought them the curse, and protecting those who would be the next victim of the curse.

Appearance: Mayu wears the clothing of a Shrine Maiden. Though the skirt is short and she wears brown boots. She has one of those sleeves that Reimu Hakurei from Touhou wears except the sleeve is shorter. You expect her to use a Gohei stick but since she's now a care taker of lost souls, she has a staff with a bolt on top. It's dark red to match her dark outfit. Her hair is long and black and tied back. Some of the hair on front float loosely as she moves.

Her body, she's slim. She's not a thick chested character. Of course since her appearance has a slight reference to Japanese culture, she has to look like a Japanese character. Like how is obviously a reference to the nine tail fox mythology.
