So, I started playing leauge a few weeks before the bilgewater event, and while I didn't know who was the announcer during the event as I was a noob, I thought the pirate voice over was so much better than the boring current one.
So I was reminiscing over that time when an idea hit me. Riot should have champion announcer voice packs in the shop, allowing us to get a more interesting voice over to our games. Please Riot do this.
Well, it worked for DOTA, wouldn't mind seeing this sort of thing in League as long as it wouldn't require too much tampering with the game's code (and all the bugs that follow) to implement.
Also please update this if you want to see it in game, otherwise the odds of this being noticed are very minimal.
I think if Riot were to do such a thing, like with Burning Tides as you mentioned in the post, they would probably keep them to Lore-related events. I would love to have new announcer voice-clips, (Just as much as i would like to see new maps as done in Burning Tides as well) but Riot said the Burning Tides event was a big risk, and aren't considering any events of that level again anytime soon.
