[Champion Concept] Lao'Xan, the Voidborn Patriarch

(IMPORTANT: This is just a concept I have made, and I'd really like feedback on the possible stats, lore, etc. I originally made this concept a month or so ago, but i'm updating it a bit to see if anyone likes it.)

[Gameplay Basics] Primary Role: Fighter Secondary Role: Support

Lao'Xan is what I'd imagine a more sentient and power-seeking voidborn would look like - but I added a twist to the lore, that they could be part of the link between Icathia and possibly a (civilization?) location in the Void. I wouldn't really know though, but I liked the concept in my head. I wasn't sure if I wanted a reverse of Azir, or more leaning to Mordekaiser.

[Appearance] Height (In-Game): About the size of Mordekaiser (Lore): 10ft 8in Head: Mouth having about the same appearance as Rek'Sai/Baron Nashor. Six pale nocturnal eyes adorn three carapace plates. Torso: Nothing special, besides chitin-ish naturally bulky armor. Arms: Bulky, matching up to the structure of the torso. Claws of a spike-ish nature. Legs: Bulky, but having ape-like grasping feet, but more sinister and jagged. Weapon: Bone-mace, ancient by most normal standards, made of skulls, horns, and a long leg bone.

[Background Basics] Species: Xan'Tar (zan-tarr) (The last, as far as he knows.) Residence (current): Possibly near the Great Barrier, the Shuriman desert, or outside Demacia.

[LORE] (TL;DR: Lao'Xan was a species of voidborn that took to standing together to grasp dominion over other species. They died to a mysterious disease-like anomaly, most of the remaining split off until the entire death of the species - except Lao'Xan. Lao came into Runeterra after a brooding period, coping with the death of his species. All the while seeking a group to eventually take control of and create a new empire.)

Many times have people heard stories from old tales or accounts from madmen. Some of these tales depict another plane of existence - the void. The void's dark, primal nature can seem unforgiving to those who do not understand it. The beings that come from it are relentless beasts that have a ravenous hunger for the goals they have. There exists one species that seems to be just as vicious, but cunning and more sentient, almost less primal than the other species. Despite the void being connected in some ways, the Xan'Tar are more free thinking than the other primal species.

For time unknown, this species has been gathered together, dependent on their gathered power to exist. Along, most of them would die - except the Patriarch. The Patriarch is a naturally-gained position. The strongest of the Xan'Tar becomes the Patriarch. The Patriarch leads their species to battle, and is the first being on the field. They evolve, they grow taller, achieve flight via a set of four insectoid wings. The combined magic will of their people strengthens their soldiers and leaders.

Lao'Xan is the most recent Patriarch. After a large battle against a hive of opposing creatures, their Patriarch fell. Lao'Xan was the next in line for the highest status of the species. He had torn several groups of their enemies, none other at the period had the same esteem. He rose to power, quickly attempting to fill the job as the previous Patriarch did. His will was unmatched, neither was his skill in battle. He enlisted the construction of a grand hive, which stood for what seemed to be the eons of Lao'Xan's reign.

Until, an anomaly occurred. His people started to mysteriously die to a disease - something was killing them slowly. All but Lao'Xan seemed to contract the anomaly. He could do nothing as his species lost faith and split off, attempting to escape their fates. Lao'Xan collapsed the entrances to the hive. He was alone, to brood on his failure.

After the longest time - Lao'Xan wanted to seek out his final fate - death. He sought out a portal, climbing inside. He could not comprehend what he saw. He saw a land of light, nearly a pure yellow soft substance on the ground, sand. He saw formations around him with strange idols, carved symbols he did not recognize. He wandered across the alien landscape, until coming across something he slightly recognized - a group of voidborn. They were Xer'Sai. They jumped out of tunnels, clicking and hissing. Lao'Xan made a pact to himself to not die a cowards death. He fought them, growling and roaring at them. He mutilated three, their corpses fast decaying. The fourth retreated, almost fatally wounded. Lao'Xan had lost no skill during his brooding. He marched on, endless miles of sand until he came to something more strange, a formation of crafted structure, and a shining beacon atop it. From further exploration, he could see it used to be packed, filled with living beings, long ago. The fallen structures of the Shuriman empire reminded him of his own empire. He continued on.

He searched wide and far for an equal opponent. Humans would cower, and beasts would fall. He found rural villages along the way. While he put down mercenaries that weren't very fearful, he rarely killed civilians, as he felt they were not worth it. Eventually, he learned the language over time, but he was still nomadic, as he searched for a worthy warrior.

He is likely to find someone, sooner or later.

[KIT] Passive: Voidborn Patriarch Every 70 seconds, a two-way rift spawns on the map, it will stay unusuable until it is right-clicked by Lao'Xan, which opens the rift for five seconds. (Length of a tahm kench ult, channel speed of a rek'sai ult) Rifts spawn randomly, up to 6 different pathways. Exception being Vengeance of the Xan, which manually creates a rift at the nearest possible rift location by Lao'Xan. The passive remains up until the rift is opened, and if off cooldown, Lao'Xan deals increased (5%, but scales by 2% of his bonus armor and 2% of magic resist.) Lao'Xan also deals an additional 5% damage to jungle monsters.

(Rift openings do not show normally on the enemy minimap, they have to discover the openings manually.)

(Q) - Flail Swing - Damage: 40/55/70/85/100

Lao'Xan slam his mace down, knocking enemies close to him back, and creating a void rip in a line in front of him, which detonates after one second, dealing the same damage.

(W) - Patriarch's March - Buff %: 3/5/7/10/12 Movespeed: 10/12/14/16/20

Lao'Xan roars and charges, creating a void aura around him that increases movespeed of himself and allies and damage resistance if running towards the enemy, only he retains the buff if he's running away. The aura expires after 3/3.5/4/4.5/5 seconds.

(E) - Catch the Weak - Damage: 20/25/30/35/40 Stun: 0.5/0.8/1/1.5/1.8

Lao'Xan jumps forward, slamming his flail into the ground, dealing damage and slowing enemy champions caught by it. This ability stuns champions already slowed by another source. (Chilling smite, allied champions.)

(R) - Vengeance of the Xan - Damage Increase: 4%/8%/10% Resistance Increase: 3.5%/4%/5%

Lao'Xan channels void energy, donning a ethereal set of horned spiritual armor, and his mace lights up with energy. His abilities become empowered (damage and resistance only, damage by 10% and resistances by 5%). He gains 5% cooldown reduction (unless capped).

Vengeance of the Xan can be recasted during its duration to create a rift (like in Dimensional Voyage) at the closest possible rift passage by Lao'Xan.

He also has a change in tone of voice, and says additional taunts.

Pretty cool concept. His passive seems a bit to close to Reksai's ult and would seem like just a convienent and long escape, as you can't control were the other end is if you wanted to catch up to someone. His Q is a bit too similar to poppie's Q imo, and his W is a bit clunky but pretty unique and cool. His E I like and makes him want to work with his allies, especially if he has someone like Sejuani, Ashe, Liss, etc. His ult seems cool, but needs something more then stat buffs and a TP. TBH I can't say I read his lore, but its kinda cool from the TL:DR. You got something pretty kool here though! :D
