Is there any chance we'll get anything about the Void coming along?

It's probably going to have its time after every other highly-fleshed-out land gets its lore rewritten but..

All we really know right now is that there's lesser insect dudes, bigger possibly-sentient less-hive-minded dudes, and everyone likes purple and eating things too often.

Maybe it's a design choice to leave it ambiguous but it's not enough to give me any big ideas what the void ACTUALLY is.

We've also got hints to hear that the void is comprised of "living weapons". That could be LITERAL meaning they were made to fight an even greater foe, and possibly existing long enough to become as much of a threat.

I still have many questions.

Whose the leader? Is there even a solid leader/alpha of voidborn?

What were they made to fight?

Were they a bi-product of the Rune Wars?

Are all voidborn meant to be comically evil or are they capable of sapience and empathy? if so, are there going to be any spoken of in the future?

Are they connected to the Watchers?

Do they have interior cultures?

What was the presence Aurelion Sol felt in his story? it can't be Malzahar, he's just a prophet guy. It can't be Cho'Gath, he's too busy eating things.

i've always been hoping for a void-themed map/game mode where there are no lanes and the whole map is terrifying jungle and the monsters roam around and hunt you instead of sitting around in camps

now that reav3 announced the pattern: new champ( alot of hints that it will be a freljord champ)->mini xin GU->Eve VGU -> new champ -> swain VGU

i know there is an aatrox GU specially its in the support page but reav3 didn't particularly said him in the pattern

so my proposal will be that the new champ after EVe might be a Void champ/bandle city champ considering those 2 are the left outs of the whole lore revamp.

Overall if we take last year as standard,then we'll get 3 more champs(2 if Kayns team doesn't manage to make their next champ before the december patch) this year and one more VGU(Evelynn,Swain would likely come out in 2018)

The next of these 3 champs is confirmed to be a freljord-champ(and the way they talked about him,it sounds like he might come with a freljord update),so the only hope for a void lore update would be one of the other 2 champs.

In general,the only factions that didn't get an update so far were -Ionia(unlikely to get any more attention this year,as we got 3 ionia champs in a row now) -The void -Bandle city(pretty much in the same boat as the void,if they get a new champ then they might get a lore update if they are lucky) -Noxus(will surely get a lore update with Swains VGU -Freljord

Of course we are also missing a few champs from some of the factions that had already an event or aren't part of the main factions,but those will likely be done over time with smaller events.

I use the Anteverse from Pacific Rim as an imaginary reference.

It seems that the Void is less organized, and that the voidborn run rampant. It's more likely that the leader (Daddy) is a god-king, in a sense.

What about Kassadin's daughter?

Rito screwed big time by not making her Syndra.

Also not void related but I remember there has long been mentioned of Irelia's friend named Zenos or something like that. Would be nice to hear from him

I am hopeful in all honesty. Urgot references Kassadin's daughter in his new VO, a topic that hasn't been broached in years. The fact that Riot made such a direct reference to it implies that They have discussed the topic and decided to keep it (Since it was pre lore wipe) and since they actually put it in there was a good chance it was on some of the Rioter's minds, possibly because they have been discussing lore related stuff recently.

It is a positive sign of things to come at the very least.

Evelynn's hate spikes teaser made me think of the void.

I'm kind of hoping they are remaking her as a sadistic sex-crazed half-voidling.

This is me on everything Watcher related, although I feel that may be solved with the upcoming champion.
