Zhonya, The Timeless Sovereign (Concept inspired by the item)

What if Zhonya was a champion? Well... that's the question I asked myself last night anyways for now apparent reason whatsoever and I came up with this. Should I keep it going and see if I can come up with some lore to go with this? I also think it would be really cool to see what Riot might think of this too. I kind of can't help but feel like the concept is underpowered though because though I didn't do any raw damage numbers I don't think of her as dealing obscene amounts of damage which kind of makes a problem because her play-style according to what I came up with is to be some sort of front line Dive-Mage. I don't know though, what do you guys think?

Passive: Mistress of the Ages

Zhonya's magic gives her mastery over time itself imbuing her basic attacks and spells with the ability to alter the timelines of her enemies by applying stacks of Altered Timeline.

1 stack of Altered Timeline:

  • The afflicted enemy's ability cooldowns are increased by 1 (+ 0.25 per level) seconds.

2 stacks of Altered Timeline:

  • The Next ability cast by the afflicted enemy champion takes an addition 1 second to case, if it's a traveling skillshot it's travel speed is reduced by 10%.

3 Stacks of Altered Timeline:

  • The afflicted enemies health, mana, and energy regeneration is reduced by 80% for 2 seconds.

Q: Chrono-Dust

  • Zhonya throws a satchel of golden Chrono-Dust in a straight line which explodes into a cloud of golden dust upon hitting an enemy champion dealing magic damage to the target and applying a stack of Altered Timeline enemies caught in the resulting dust cloud.
    • If Chrono-Dust hits a target with 3 stacks of Altered Timeline it deal extra magic damage and freezes them in time for 0.5 seconds.

W: Time-Hex

  • Zhonya slows the passage of time in a small targeted area after a brief channel period. Any enemies standing in the affected area move, attack, and cast abilities 30% slower and their cool downs also recharge slower. All effects wear off once the enemy leaves the affected area. Damage that would be dealt to any allies who stand in the affected area also becomes delayed by 1 second.
  • If Time-Hex affects an enemy who has 3 stacks of Altered Timeline the effects of the time distortion are doubled for 1.5 seconds.

E: Spacial Shift

ACTIVE:

  • Zhonya dashes to the nearest enemy afflicted with Altered Timeline dealing magic damage and applying another stack of Altered Timeline.
  • If Quantum Shift were hits a target with 3 stacks of Altered Timeline it deal extra magic damage in an area of effect and stuns them for 1 second.

PASSIVE:

  • Zhonya's cooldowns are reduced by 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 (+5% of total CDR rounded down) seconds every time she applies a stack of Altered Timeline to an enemy stacking up to 3 time (10 second recharge).

R: Hourglass of Fate

  • Zhonya uses her Magical Hourglass to enter into Stasis for a short period of time and deal a large amount of Magic Damage in an area around her over time. Upon leaving Stasis all nearby enemy's enter Stasis allowing her time to try and escape.

  • If an enemy with 3 stacks of Altered Timeline enters Stasis as a result of Hourglass of Fate they will take bonus magic damage upon leaving stasis.

I feel as though your champion is a great idea, but depends too much on 1 gimmick, Altered Timeline. Considering Altered Timeline has no decay and lasts indefinitely, this is really op and I'm gonna leave it at that until you decide to set a viable time for how long the stacks last then I'll talk about how strong your innate is.

If we leave that issue alone, I feel like your abilities benefit too much from Altered Timeline and either, needs to be toned down, or needs to be cut from some of the abilities, considering how Altered Timeline already debuffs the enemy heavily.

Your abilities should be there to help trigger Altered Timeline and debuff the enemy, or Altered Timeline should debuff the enemy and trigger your strong abilities, not both ways.

Some of the debuffs in your innate doesn't flow well and doesn't make sense with the rest of the kit. For example, your innate, at 3 stacks, gives an even greater grievous wound (a whopping 80% hp regen and mana regen reduction) to enemies for 2 seconds and how does this help/coordinate with his kit? I could go on and on about how some of the stuff in his kit are unnecessary and are all jumbled up.

So his theme is a person who manipulates time, that's cool, but what is your proposed playstyle for him? A front-line diver or a utility mage who helps from the back? There're too many things that don't go well together (to be honest, that is the reason why I don't like Kalista, "so why does Kalista have a free moving ward sentinel again?")

tl;dr: Some of the abilities are too cool, but some could be scrapped and used for another kit, because there's too much going on in order to compose a proper playstyle. In it's raw state, it's messy, but once you remove some of the unneeded stuff, for sure, it'll be great.

Feel free to ask questions for me to clarify what I said. For some of what I'm saying might be puzzling (and rambling on), also English is not my first language.
