New Champion Idea: Thoren, the Might of Thunder
Lore: Just beyond the Ursine village, stands the sacred mountain of Thoren; its peak, so high, that it is forever surrounded by a thundering maelstrom. Thoren resides on the peak of this sacred mountain, he is the lord of thunder and he believes that peace cannot be achieved without war and destruction.
Up in the thundering cold, there are seldom any visitors daring enough anger the Thunderlord. Those who do successfully complete the climb are true heroes who will have seen visions during the mighty journey sent from Thoren himself, these heroes make an impact on their own race by bringing peace to those who are bold enough to fight the war. A significant hero who has visited Thoren is Volibear, the thunder's roar, he is now the leader of the Ursine, he brought peace to their kind by courage. It was Thoren's decree to give Volibear his power of thunder, and he is glad to see it used effectively ever since.
After restoring peace to the Ursine tribe and eventually to the Freljord races, Thoren seeks to restore peace else where in the war-ridden, rampaging lands of Runeterra. With the motive of restoration in mind Thoren chooses to leave the thundering Thoren's peak and make his way to join the League of Legends where he can fight for freedom and ultimately, peace for all of Runeterra.

Melee fighter/tank Abilities:
Passive: Thunderlord's shield: Upon dropping below 30% health, Thoren gathers up his thundering energy to create a barrier around himself, this barrier absorbs damage = 10/15/20 percent of his max health while dealing 25/30/40 magic dmg per second to nearby enemies for up to 4 seconds.
Upon taking fatal damage, Thoren calls upon thunder to punish his foes. Active: The wrath of thunder: For 3 seconds after his death, Thoren can fire a skill shot that deals 100-300 (based on level) true damage and stuns all units in a line for 1.75 seconds.
Q: Thundering strike Thoren's next auto is guaranteed to critically strike, and applies a 30/40/50/60/70% slow for 2 seconds. (resets attack timer)
W: Swift Lightning Passive: Thoren passively gains 8%/10%/12%/15%/18% movement speed and 15/20/25/30/35% attack speed.
Active: Thoren doubles his movement speed bonus and ignores all unit collision for 6 seconds, during this time, his auto attacks deals 70% of his attack damage to the nearest 4 enemy units behind the target. (passive is lost during cooldown of this ability)
E: Lightning dash Thoren dashes onto an enemy champion stunning it for 1 second. (This dash applies all on-hit effects twice) this deals 100/140/185/230/275 (+100% AP) magic damage
R: Thundering Maelstrom Thoren releases the might of his thunderous power in a giant circle around him for 6 seconds, Thoren can freely move during this time, and the circle will follow him. Dealing 200/300/500 physical damage (+50% AD) to all enemies, stuns all enemies hit for 1 second. After the initial damage and stun, the enemies are then slowed by 40/50/70% while remaining in the circle of thunder and take 50/70/100 magic damage per second (20% AP) .
Comments: A new Freljord Champion that I put a lot of time and effort into, (I have to admit, this idea was inspired by Thor, the lightning hammer superhero, u could totally tell from name :P) I hope you guys like the lore and the abilities in which I have designed for him. He ll have pretty cool interactions with alot of his fellow Freljord champs. I think he ll be a pretty cool new addition to the league as hes got tons of dmg and very nice crowd control. As of the current meta, the new AD items will benefit this guy alot, he can do very well with the lifesteal and the new energizing attack items (fire cannon and new shiv) that are now available as well as some of the new tank items such as the new deadman's plate with the nice speedy engage. He will be best fitted to the top lane as he is a tanky brawler who can cut through other tanks surprisingly fast with his attack speed and high dmg kit. He can also be played on the bot lane as support as he is very tanky and provide decent crowd control and peeling even with his early game kit. During the mid and lategame play him as a frontline, engage for your team, deal tons of AOE dmg to the enemy team while cc'ing them for your team's follow up. Dont be afraid to die, as you are the only champion who can apply cc to the enemy team while dead, you should look to tank dmg and if you die, continue peeling for your backline with passive stun. (TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT) Last but definately not least, I dont even have to tell you which key stone is the best for this guy, u guessed it: thunderlord's decree, its literally written in the lore. No but seriously grasp of the undying as well as fervor of battle can work wonders on this tanky melee fighter as well. Hope you enjoyed this little creation, comment your thoughts for improvements!
