IDEA: Competitive "SOLO QUEUE" Tournament(s).
Hello, I was thinking today about competitive league of legends, and I enjoy the LCS. (Probably not the first to have this idea) But I was thinking about how awesome it would be for there to be high-elo LEAGUE "SOLO QUEUE" style tournament(s). Something that would be fun to watch as a viewer, and a different taste than the LCS. Here's what I was thinking:
-32 (or 16) Players enter the tournament in each role (adc, jg, ect..) -Randomly generate 32 teams (1 player in each role), and some kind of bracket. -After each round, randomly generate new teams (1 each role), with only players that won from the previous round moving on. -At the end, one team will win, with 1 player from each role being the "solo queue" champion of that role, and getting some sort of prize.
Being able to work with a random set of people adds different dynamic to the game, and requires a different set of skills than an LCS pro. It gives a chance to highlight individual players from each role. It would allow us to see crowd favorite streamers enter into a tournament and be competitive without having to commit to an entire LCS season or team. And as a viewer it would be fun AF to watch! They could even do an "autofill" round, that puts one player from each team off-role, a-la solo queue.
Obviously there would have to be a lot of rules and details to work out. But I think it would be amazingly fun to watch.
Thanks!
EDIT: This might be in the wrong subforum, but C&C seemed like an applicable spot. oh well!
