Primary Role- Mage Secondary Role- Support

Stats:

Health: 534 - 1894 (80) Health Regen: 6.428 - 20.878 (0.85) Mana: 334 - 1184 (50) Mana Regen: 6 - 19.6 (0.8) Attack Range: 175 (Melee) Attack Damage: 53.4 - 107.8 (3.2) Attack Speed: 0.625 (1.36%) Armor: 21.9 - 81.4 (3.5) Magic Resist: 30 (0) Movement Speed: 345

Kit:

http://imgur.com/FnoAya4 **Passive: Residual Energy **

Mavrik gains a stack of Residual Energy every 30 seconds and each time Rift absorbs a projectile (Max: 2/3/4/5 stacks).

Vortex Slash- Can be cast again irrespective of its cooldown at the cost of 1 Residual Energy. Doing this places the ability back on maximum cooldown. Consecutive casts hitting a target this way will deal 15% of the damage as true damage stacking per cast (Max: 75% true damage). This effect ends when the cooldown of the ability refreshes.

Rift- * Rifts that do not absorb a projectile implode, dealing 40/70/100/130/160 (+0.5 AP) (+4 x Residual Energy Stacks)% Max Health as magic damage to enemies within 350 units.*

http://imgur.com/O9tVfNF Q: Vortex Slash

COOLDOWN: 10/9/8/7/6 Sec COST: 40/45/50/55/60 Mana RANGE: 800 WIDTH: 300

After a 0.5 second delay, Mavrik rends space in the target location, dealing 50/75/100/125/150 (+0.6 AP) magic damage to all enemies struck and marking them with Dimensional Instability for 3 seconds. Enemies marked with Dimensional Instability that come within 350 units of a Rift lose their debuff and are drawn towards the center of the Rift. Enemies cannot be drawn towards the same Rift more than once.

http://imgur.com/F5HQXN2 W: Rift

COOLDOWN: 24/22/20/18/16 Sec COST: 50/60/70/80/90 Mana RANGE: 600

Mavrik instantly creates a miniature black hole at the target location that persists for 2 seconds or until absorbing the first offensive enemy projectile skill-shot landing within range. After absorption, for the next 3 seconds, Mavrik can summon a second dimensional Rift 100 units in front of him (towards the cursor) that releases the projectile with 60/70/80/90/100% of the original damage. The projectile maintains the original properties as the enemy cast it, but it now affects enemy units.

http://imgur.com/NFBCLsx E: Paradox

COOLDOWN: 8/7/6/5/4 Sec COST: None PASSIVE RANGE: 1000 CAST RANGE: 600 ACTIVE TRIGGER RANGE: 300

Passive: Allies produce an Imprint of themselves frozen in time upon casting a basic ability (Max: 3 Imprints per champion), each lasting 60 seconds. This effect can only occur once every 6 seconds per champion. Enemies can destroy these imprints by standing over them for a brief period of time.

Active: Mavrik charges an Imprint with astral energy for the next 6 seconds. An ally that repeats the basic ability near the Imprint it had previously formed refreshes all of their basic cooldowns and is granted 10/20/30/40/50% Movement Speed for 1 second.

http://imgur.com/oPxX3t0 R: Dispersion

COOLDOWN: 120/105/90 COST: 100 Mana RANGE: 1000 RADIUS: 725

Leveling Dispersion increases the maximum stacks of Residual Energy that can be stored by 1.

Mavrik’s movement speed is reduced by 50% as he slowly drains energy from nearby Imprints. After 2 seconds, the Imprints are destroyed, and Mavrik releases a blast of energy in an area around him. Allied champions within the area of effect are granted a (100/150/200 x #Imprints sacrificed; Max: 5 Imprints)(+0.6 AP) shield for 2 seconds, and enemies are slowed by 30/45/60% for 2 seconds.

Lore:

Long ago, Shurima experienced a calamity of unparalleled proportions. In an attempt to obtain infinite power and freedom from his bondage to the emperor, Xerath devastated the land as he ascended beyond his mortal coil into a being of pure arcane energy. However, in the midst of the ensuing chaos, another event was overshadowed. A young man and mere apprentice of the arcane arts at the time, Mavrik’s curiosity and desire to be as powerful and influential as Xerath brought him dangerously close to the Magus’ forbidden ritual. Caught in the blast of energy released at the conclusion of the event, Mavrik was immediately rendered unconscious. When he finally awoke, he found himself suspended in air, surrounded by nothing but suffocating darkness and a faint glimmer of light in the distance.

Where most would seek the light, Mavrik had learned his lesson well— curiosity and envy often have consequences. Thankful to be alive, he wasn’t about to rush head-first a second time into the unknown. He would be satisfied with the present. With mysteriously unshaken resolve, he remained still, letting all of his senses guide his next decision. It was then that he realized something else was drifting in the void behind him. Reaching out and grasping the object firm in his hand, Mavrik recognized the weight and fluid motion as that belonging to his very own blade-staff. It was a magically imbued weapon passed down through untold generations in his family, most recently to him after the death of his father 8 years ago.

With no other relatives to call his own after the passing of his father, it had become the only constant in Mavrik’s life, his only friend. Something was, however, very different— his weapon was surging with tremendous magical power, the likes of which he had never felt before. With a swift strike, a tear in space and time was formed before his very eyes. It revealed an image of a desert land. Unable to move away, Mavrik was engulfed into the wormhole and reappeared near ancient ruins.

After years of wandering the desolate land and practicing his newfound power, Mavrik made contact for the first time after the void. The tomb robber was heading home after an unsuccessful heist, and the unique glint of metal in the distance was enough to draw her near. Mavrik shared his story, and in return he quickly learned the devastating truth about where he was sent. Though he had not aged in the void, time in Runeterra had passed beyond imagination. Along with this news, the woman shared information concerning those who fight on the Fields of Justice. After discovering Xerath was among those who battled, Mavrik traveled to join the league in hopes that he may learn more about his past.

Notes:

Passive:

  • Some sort of interstellar indicator (similar to Kennen or Face of the Mountain) would denote for all players how many stacks are present at any given time. Perhaps something like this:

http://imgur.com/E4k2JOY

  • Stacks round up when lost (i.e. at 3 stacks, upon death, stacks will change to 1)

Q:

  • The ability must hit a target (be it minion/monster/enemy champion...) in order for the stacks to accumulate
  • Hitbox is a small crescent at the cursor's location
  • Similar to Vel'koz's Fissure in appearance (but crescent-shaped) and cast as if a Karthus' Lay Waste
  • Casts using Residual Energy place the ability on maximum cooldown as if it were cast normally; damage vamp ends if the cooldown on the spell refreshes
  • Minions and monsters are also drawn towards active Rifts
  • Dimensional Instability range to be drawn in is the same distance they would take damage from a Rift implosion
  • Example of damage progression with Max Rank Q at 400 AP with 5 stacks of Residual Energy:

Q1- 390 Magic damage Q2- 331.5 Magic damage + 58.5 True damage (Total = 721.5 Magic damage + 58.5 True damage) Q3- 273 Magic damage + 117 True damage (Total = 994.5 Magic damage + 175.5 True damage) Q4- 214.5 Magic damage + 175.5 True damage (Total = 1209 Magic damage + 351 True damage) Q5- 156 Magic damage + 234 True damage (Total = 1365 Magic damage + 585 True damage) Q6- 97.5 Magic damage + 292.5 True damage (Total = 1462.5 Magic damage + 877.5 True damage)

Same conditions with complete Lvl 16 Vel'koz combo (Q,W,E, and R with 3 Passive Procs) = 2,535 Magic damage + 555 True damage

W:

  • Does not show blast radius or timer
  • Damage modifier from stacks occurs on cast (if stacks are lost before Rift implodes, Rift deals damage based on the number of stacks when cast, not current stack count)
  • Does not work against auto-attacks or targeted abilities (click champion and use) or projectiles without travel time (i.e. Lux beam)
  • Would work with things like Lee Sin Q or Blitz Pull
  • Larger version of Syndra's Dark Spheres in appearance
  • Original properties includes CC, damage type, range, pathing through/into minions…
  • Offensive implies an ability that would deal damage (i.e. Lux shield doesn't get absorbed)
  • The second cast is treated as if Mavrik were the caster except the range would be increased by 100 units (more for visual acceptability than anything else). Mavrik's position cannot be altered with this ability! Ex: He cannot drag a target he Thresh hooks or jump to the target's position.
  • Cooldown begins after implosion or recast of the ability
  • Only the last ability absorbed may be recast when multiple Rifts have absorbed a spell at the same time.

E:

  • Mavrik may also produce Imprints and benefit from the active
  • An Imprint glows and animates (mocking the previously cast ability) when the caster is within range to trigger the active
  • Enemies can stand on the Imprints to dissipate them in a similar fashion to Rek'sai's burrows
  • The active triggers only when the mouse is hovering over an Imprint, press E to activate
  • Imprints are simply overriden upon casting a new basic ability once the maximum has been reached for a champion

R:

  • If interrupted, Imprints are not destroyed
  • Only consumes Imprints originally in range at the time of cast (no new formations)

Hey man, new post looks sick!!! Just wanted to let you know that I posted a new champ.

Ivan ~ The Righteous Paladin http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/aRcimYUO-champion-idea-ivan-the-purifier

I would love it if you could review and +1 if you like it!

Here my review for your champion

General Concept :

I quite love the concept of a champion controlling Space itself^^ though i wonder how you will bring up the lore for it =P (my guess is that he come from the void)

Q: from what i read its like a linear Skill shot skill =3. Though i have a question, is the skill shot aply the debuff to all enemy hit or only the first? (from, what i understand its a piercing Skill shot)

W: I find that skill very funny and very usefull =3 can be use defensively and counter. but here few skill shot to know if they absord or no :

Xerath Ability Syndra ability Jynx Ability

Which of they ability is absorbed and which arent? (you have amost all Skill shot possibility with those 3 ^^)

E : Again realy funny ability =3, While being quite strong i think its still work and not op ^^

R : From my guess its like a cage of Thresh but no one get out or in (exept ally).

^^

SpiceIsRight2/15/2015, 8:07:36 PM1 votes

Thanks for your feedback :)

Q: Currently it applies to all hit :)

W: Xerath's Q/W/R would not be absorbed, but his E would be. None of Syndra's ability would inherently, but a Q that has been pushed with E will be absorbed :P that's interesting indeed. Jinx's W and R would be absorbed.

E: I agree :) I think it's fair because it requires management of past location and makes him inactive while he reverts.

R: That is correct, and enemies can shorten the duration by attacking the "cage."

Hello! i am here to give a review!

Appearance: Love it, ties in with the rest of his character!

Q: I notice if you land every Q with max stacks (6 times if im reading this correctly) it will deal 1200+ Magic Damage, thats pretty ridiculous. Once drawn towards the rift, how long will they be drawn to it? will they be able to move Freely after being caught in the center? Overall, i do like this ability and how it synergyses with the passive.

W: I really like this ability it can be useful in many ways, defense or offense. The only problem i have, will it be able to absorb Ult's like Jinx's or Ashe's? Cause one well timed W and im calling this thing a bit OP

E: In my opinion, this seems a bit useful to me i get that you could use it for a quick escape but maybe make it to where you do minor magical damage at your start and end point? Or make it a bit more useful, make it to where When he does cast it he gains the health and mana and cool downs he had aswell, of course keeping Paradox on cool down. But adding this would make for some really cool things you could do.

R: There is nothing i can really say about this ability its great, good team fight potentiol i like it!

Overall i love this champ, of course good things always need tweaks but good job! And go ahead and give my champion a review if you have time. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/skin-champion-concepts/EBhgEXeP-tulien-the-mad-king

Hey, I remember this...

SpiceIsRight9/9/2015, 12:23:35 PM1 votes

In light of Ekko, I wanted to rework my E especially since many believed it to be the weakest link in Mavrik's kit. So I did it! What does everyone think of this new ability? I love how this continues to add utility to Mavrik, but isn't direct! Mavrik is the definition of a counterpick-active champion with his return-to-sender and mimic playstyle.

Never understood down-votes without any constructive criticism, but such is life.

Arcane, the E review as promised.

It seems really cool, I like the idea. I could see ways to branch off of this idea, but it is solid as it currently stands. If you are wondering about my ideas don't hesitate to ask. I made a few changes to Basset and I am posting a couple ideas soon.

SpiceIsRight1/16/2016, 2:16:07 AM1 votes

Update- Reworked E/R to be more support-like and synergize.

Ryan Elijah2/10/2015, 11:50:13 PM1 votes

W would be good as long as its non-ultimate skillshot abilities. Stealing an ezreal or jinx ult and throwing it back at someones face for 140% dmg late game would be too strong. Just my opinion, though.
