-Lore- Varian Loss, Blood King of the fallen kingdom of Ravashuak and leader of what-used-to-be the strongest military in the world, paced around his decaying throne. How long was he sleep? What happened during his absence? He turned to gaze back at the Gaeldryn, the seat of absolute power and rule, and the memories flashed in his head immediately.
Ah yes, Varian remembered it as if it happened a moon ago. He and his loyal servants, undead tyrants and beserkers ravaging homelands and citadels, destroying everything in their wake. No one was able to stop his plan of world domination. His dream to control everything the earth and its people had to offer was right at his fingertips! The only objective that was left to complete was simple: destroy Noxus and Demacia. Then he could rebuild the world in his own perfected image. He could create a new canvas, and paint that very canvas with his own creative brush, turning an empty opportunity into something beautiful. A masterpiece of slavery, plague, and torment.
But his plans of world control came to a halt when someone, an archmage of higher power, the water that ruined his masterpiece, defeated he and his army in battle. One person against millions upon millions, and he lost, sealed away for what seemed to be an eternity. Somehow, the seal weakened and Varian escaped from his spellbound prison. The world around him was so…odd. Technology far exceeded his capabilities, the air was filled with chemicals, making it extremely hard to breathe, languages were practically incomprehensible, accents and acronyms foreign to his knowledge, and life was so agriculturally and industrially advanced. It was as if everything revolutionized into a different planet. For a while, Varian believed that he wasn't on Earth anymore, casted away to some distant place.
For years, he studied like a madman, learning everything that happened to the world and its people over the last handful of centuries. Despite being locked away for so long, he was still capable of learning and understanding concepts of social evolution, fashion styles, industrial revolutions, and technological ascensions. When the time finally came, after traveling across the world in secret, he returned to what was left of Ravashuak, a stronghold turned to dust and overwhelmed by growing wildlife. He gathered all of his blood, which was the source to all of his power, and casted a ritual to spread it deep underground. The blood traveled through the bundles of rock like veins, each thin strand pooling into multiple bone piles. In mere minutes, rotten arms and hands emerged from the ground, and whole bodies followed afterwards. Varian had resurrected his fallen army, and although his body was weak from the ritual, he successfully raided every known city and soon regained his strength.
This time, however, Varian was not going to let his dream falter. He knew that the archmage was somewhere out there, hiding until another threat such as him rises from the shadows. The world was going to know his name and power once more, and he was going to finish the masterpiece he started so long ago.
"Archmage, hear my call. You know that your spell has broken, and you know that the world will soon fall under my ungodly rule. Just like this world, I will claim you and make you mine to do whatever as I please. Understand this, I will not allow such a thing to happen again. Centuries have passed. I hope you have used that time to train and train hard, because the fate of the world rests in your hands. Passive - Vampirism: When Varian uses an ability against an enemy, he causes his opponent to bleed, dealing 50 (50% of Ability Power) over three seconds. Vampirism stacks up from 5 times to 20 times, depending on champion level (5 stacks for levels 1-5, 10 stacks for levels 6-10, 15 stacks for levels 11-17, and 20 stacks for level 18).
Passive - Grand Appearances: When Varian switches from his blade to his blood orbs, he gains +10 AP and bonus movement speed for a short amount of time. When he switches from his blood orbs to his blade, he gains +10 AD and bonus attack speed for a short amount of time.
Q - Artery Strike / Lifelink: Varian strikes an enemy with his blade, making sure to hit a vital spot. Artery Strike deals 30/60/90/120 (Ability Power and Attack Damage combined then halved, rounded up) damage. If he's using his blood orbs, Varian throws one toward his opponent, dealing 30/60/90/120 (Ability Power and Attack Damage combined then halved, rounded up) damage. The blood orb then returns to Varian and heals for the amount of damage given.
W - Mark / Assassinate: Varian throws an orb of blood towards an enemy, dealing 20/40/60/80 (Ability Power and Attack Damage combined then halved, rounded up) damage, marking and revealing them to other nearby champions for three seconds. If Varian switches to his blade, he dashes toward an enemy, dealing 10/20/30/40 (Ability Power and Attack Damage combined then halved, rounded up). If Varian hits a marked target, he stuns them for one second.
E - Fury / Eruption: Varian increases his attack speed and critical strike chance for a short period of time. If Varian is using his blood orbs, he throws a blood orb to a selected area. If the ability is casted again, the orb returns to Varian, slowing anyone caught in the pathway and dealing 15/20/25/30 (Ability Power and Attack Damage combined then halved, rounded up) damage, and leaving a trail of boiling blood that deals 20/30/40/50 (Ability Power and Attack Damage combined then halved, rounded up) damage over five seconds.
R - Weapon Switch: Varian switches from his blade to his blood orbs and vice versa, gaining different abilities and temporary boosts.
