Im not very good at drawing, but i hope this shows what im going at here.

Melissa lived in Bandle City with hes husband, who raised bees and sold honey.

Once old yordle (Melissa's husband), who visited Shadow Isles to harvest some of the irresistible honey only produced by dangerous bees at shadow isles. He never came back, so Melissa decided to go look for him. Instead, she found the honey and the angry bees. Melissa was attacked by Bee Queen. Melissa panicked and hit it with her instrument. She killed the queen and all the soldier bees were going to attack Melissa. She decided to play her last song while waiting her certain death. Bees stopped attacking her and instead acts as she was the new queen (Because of instrument produced similar sound than queen's wings) protecting her from any intruder.

Melissa now carries the hive around inside her instrument unable to go far away from the nest without bees attacking her.

Melissa's passive: Melissa's auto attacks are slow and they cannot move trough terrain. Instead they are slow moving seeking bees of shadow isles. They seek nearest enemy on their range. this radar seek radius is imitated with Melissa's attack range (including rapid fire cannon). They sting opponent by contact and explode doing bit of aoe damage. Critical strikes give special effects based on what summoner spells you are using and does decreased damage instead of normal damage. If enemy runs far enough from bees stey stop and act as still basic attack. Bees are hasted and prioritizes feared enemies, if near one.

Critical strikes send out bee, that glows with different color and has different effect based on summoner spells you have.

Smite - Orange yellow - Does bonus damage to monsters. Ignite - Orane Red - Explosion sets enemies to fire Flash - Bright Yellow - Bees activate mini flash near enemy target. Teleport - Purple - Idle Bees with no target can teleport back to Melissa, if idling enough. Exhaust -Murky green Explosion leaves a small puddle of murky green honey that slows enemies Ghost - Light Blue - Bees can move trough terrain. Snowball - White - Dashes with melissa. Heal - Green - Heals Melissa Barrier - Light Brown Yellowish - Idle drones last longer Clarity - Blue- Restores Mana

Q- Soldier. Melissa leaves behind idle drone acting as basic attack.

W - Melissa starts playing her instrument beautifully and slowly walking (Slowly waving her tail instead of her normal more pointy and jumpy walk animation). All bees in range of ability follows melissa.

E - Melissa Hits her target location with her instrument after short duration (Poor thing trying to lift that heavy thing up!) and smashes the ground briefly knocking back all enemies in small area then gaining small amount of movement speed (And scared face)

R - Melissophobia - Melissa Blows her instrument sending out huge wave of sound dealing some magic damage and (some amount of) swarming bees from her instrument fearing enemies in cone front of her.

Personality: We sure need old granny like lady for this game. Why not yordle. Her personality could be a bit twisted cat lady, instead of cats, having bees. "Go my children! Make mama proud!"

Discussion about her kit, lore and design!

I really like the concept.

That said, there are some things that tickle my brain a bit.

1st: How do you use auto attacks? Do you just right click on units? Does it matter which unit you clicked on?

2nd: The passive is incredible, but her w and e feel a bit off.

What kind of champ is she? A spell caster? An adc? A tank? Her passive suggests adc since she works well with crit. However, she can't really auto attack, nor does she benefict from attack speed which is counterintuitive since there are only 2 items that give crit but dont give attack speed. Her q makes her feel like a summoning mage. Her w and e make her seem like a tank since they both impede her movement, and that tends to ruin squishierchampions.

3rd: She wouldn't refer to the bees as her children unless she developed some weird form of Stockholm Syndrome. Remember that they killed her husband and would also kill her without a second thought if she moved away from the hive.

Here are some ideas:

Passive: Have your right click spawn a bee that has the clicked target as its own target, as long as the clicked unit is within her own attack range. Also the animation for spawning bees is her playing on her instrument.

Have her bees deal dps instead of exploding, wouldnt make much sense for them to explode tbh.

Q- Plays a chord in a direction that makes all nearby bees move in that direction (they go back to being idle if after going a bit in that direction they don't find a target). Spawns 1 (or more) idle bee(s) when it is used.

W- (toggle) Starts playing frantically increasing her attack speed as well as the attack speed and movement speed of her bees, however, while her w is on her own movement speed is reduced (she is focused on playin, not on moving)

E- (toggle) Gain incredible movespeed as well as the ability to fly over walls by riding some bees. However, while flying she can't cast spells or summon bees. Costs increasing amounts of mana over time, but summons bees based on how long she traveled (up to a max).

R- Melissa plays a chord (needs to feel much more ultimat-y than her other chords) for a short duration. Over the course of the chord, guard bees spawn, these are special bees that deal more damage and have more hp, but move slower than the other bees and can't go very far from Melissa.

What do you think of these proposed changes?
