Side note My brain is all over the place about this champion, so if you take the time to skim through this share your thoughts below on what could be changed, what you like or if you simply like the idea of a snake champion, I'm going to be editing and updating this A LOT cuz I really want a champion like this, so if you read this once drop by again another time cuz it will be changing, if you're wondering "why post this if its not finished" it's because I'd like people to give their thoughts as I'm developing this character and if they find it interesting they may revisit to see the changes. ~ unfinished abilities below for an idea of Manda.
Why I think a champion like this should be added IMHO -- Rant: Simply put I love snakes/reptiles and I love League, although I mainly want to see a snake champion which is what this is all about, the only thing in the game somewhat going for that is Cassiopeia ~ Cass is a cursed Noxian/Human who was cursed turned into a gorgon type creature very similar to Medusa, which is a far stretch from an actual snake, she has arms and doesn't even ssss in her words :p I mean** what champion in league has eye's but no eye lids, no arms or no legs and talks with a bunch of S's??? there isn't one (hint hint make a snake champion Rito)** there's not a single champion in league that doesn't have ligaments, I just think a snake would be a great fit in the rift I'm alil bias cause of my love for snakes but still with good reason. :p
Champion Concept Manda The Devourer of Souls ~ Subject to change. He's a giant serpent that thrives by stealing his preys life force, constantly becoming more powerful with near unlimited sustain under the right circumstance, I want him to sorta feel like a Grim Reaper in the form of a snake
Appearance: I'd want him to look like a Basilisk or Titanoboa, so a very stocky/heavy body that leaves a trail in areas he moves over - like the grass in the jungle or parting the water in the river. When he move's, his head meets with the ground like a typical snake, being idle or in combat his upper body and head would come high off the ground like a cobra, Manda constantly has venom/black ooze dripping from his mouth burning the ground as he moves, his color pattern would change depending on where he slithers over like a chameleon, turning a slight green hue as you reach the jungle or a more light blue in the river (whether this has to do with an ability or not I'm not sure, just trying to give a image for him) his natural color when he spawns being a dark bluish purple having a lighter variation on his belly, which we could only see when he's "standing" or during an ability
Gameplay/Role he revolves around the jungle and excels at long skirmishes that don't always go his way with overwhelming sustain that seconds as a way to becoming more powerful.
he is a permanent HP scaling (get it) champion that wants to cc and be up in melee range with the enemies in order to utilize his ult.
Abilities are unfinished and not meant to be 100% balanced these are just ideas I'm fond of and may need polishing
Passive: ?
Q: Soul Leech 16 second CD (This ability has 2 charges with the second cast always doing half the damage but applying a 90% slow for 0.25 seconds) Manda attacks a single target with a soul siphoning bite, dealing 6/7/8/9/10% of your max HP to your target as magic damage(does not apply on hit effects), IF the target dies and is a champion heal for 15% of your missing hp over the next 8 seconds 5% for anything else (this affect can not be stacked but refreshed) also gain 3 HP whenever a unit dies to Q, if that be a champion or large monster gain 10 HP instead.
**this could work as an Empowered auto or Warwick Q
W: Indomitable Fear: lunge a short distance hitting the first target (skill shot similar to Urgot E) stunning it for 2 seconds by coiling around it dealing magic damage, slighty knocks back everything around the area, healing Manda the lower the targets HP. (this affect fears monsters for 3 seconds)
E: Toxic Anguish: Channels up to 3 seconds with 2 different affects. (if channeled for 1 seconds or less its radius is like that of Ornn W but shorter), it inflicts a burst of damage with a short duration burn while slowing has base damage scaling off your Max HP and the enemies missing HP. if channeled for 3 seconds (applies 30% self slow when fully channeled) it becomes a condensed ball of venom (acts like a Kai'sa W or Nidalee spear), does increased damage but no longer burns, gets increased range and hits the first target and a small radius around it, revealing the first target giving you move speed towards them.
The E: I feel this needs the most polishing/changing but I do like the idea of a charging ability that changes the affect depending on the time spent channeling
R: Rebirth** CD 200/180/160** (only avaliable when below 20/30/40% HP) Instantly Shed your skin growing in size, using it as a shield based off the HP% you had when you activated your ult- (Shield last 2.5 seconds) healing for 6 seconds up to 20/30/50% of your HP then gain Permanent HP equal to 10% of your bonus HP (including Q) but losing 10/15/20% of your resistances temporarily until your ult comes back off CD.
The R: numbers and effects could be moved or changed around I'm sure but I really like this concept where Manda sort of removes his armor becoming vulnerable due to the resistances temporarily getting lowered but also healing due to the shedding process and inevitably growing and gaining hp, its forever scaling and is almost a 2nd life but the draw backs I gave were it removes resistances and has a long CD; I'm open to any idea of changes tho
