Tanxin - The enormous Greed [Version 1.1]

Lore: Tanxin is a goblin who lives on wooded hills. He loves to be alone and searching for gold. He got only a few unexpected visitors from time to time which he chase off as soon as he saw them. He moves to another hill if his magical sense tells him that there isn´t any more gold to dig out in the hill. Tanxin will dig then a chamber into the hill to stash his money there. He secures it as well as possible before he leaves.



Passive (Gold Rush): Tanxin can demolish terrain with 3 autoattacks (set spots-> it should exist many of those -> not only a few at important objectives) or if any of his spells hit terrain (no set spots). The hole in the terrain is 300 units big. He has a 5%/10%/15%/20% chance to find 25/50/100/150 gold at level 1/6/11/16 in form of gold bags (which can be picked up by allies and enemies). The terrain stays demolished for 1 minute and the gold bags stay for 10 seconds.


Q (Gold Digger): Tanxin digs with his pickaxe forward. He deals physical damage and knocks enemies aside. The ground is agitated and after 5 seconds it deals 50/75/100/125/150 (+0.4 total ad) physical damage and roots enemies for 2 seconds. Enemies standing on the agitated ground receive 5/10/15/20/25 magic damage for every second.

  • Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 mana
  • Cooldown: 15/13.75/12.5/11.25/10 seconds

W (Enraged): Tanxin deals with his next 3 autoattacks more damage.

  1. Autoattack: +5/10/15/20/25 (+5% of his own gold; capped at 2,500 gold) physical damage
  2. Autoattack: +30/35/40/45/50 (+10% of his own gold; capped at 2,500 gold) physical damage
  3. Autoattack: +55/60/65/70/75 (+15% of his own gold; capped at 2,500 gold) physical damage

Passive: His autoattacks cause grievous wounds for 0.5/1/1.5/2 second(s) , if the enemy has 500/750/1000/1250 gold.

  • Cost: 60/67.5/75/82.5/90 mana
  • Cooldown: 14/13.5/13/12.5/12 seconds

E(Hands Off!): Tanxin swings his pickaxe and knocks enemies back in front of him. He deals 50/75/100/125/150 (+0.6 total ad) physical damage.

  • Cost: 40/45/50/55/60 mana
  • Cooldown: 11/10/9/8/7 seconds

R (Gold Vein): Tanxin summons a big, magical rock at a location within 400 units which pulls enemies to it if they stayed in the first 2 seconds in the area. Units in his area of effect are slowed for x (+x% of their gold) movement speed. The rock deals 20/30/40 (+0.1 total ad) as magic damage every second. The rock lasts for 6 seconds and has 600 units range,

  • Cost: 100 mana
  • Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds

I feel as if a 300-unit hole on his passive is a wee bit excessive. His ult would make more thematic sense if it scaled with Gold like his W, and also the movespeed buff seems a bit random. Instead, maybe it could demolish terrain or knockback enemies in its path? I do love the idea of a miner champion though!

This seems really cool. I like how it seems to benefit him to stay in lane longer and accumulate gold with his w scaling, but the ultimate seems a bit 'lack luster' (get it, cuz he's a miner). Maybe his ultimate could be a large magnetic rock to be thrown at a certain location, and it pulls enemies towards it with a speed scaling with their gold, or maybe the collective gold value of their items. It could maybe steal like 5 gold per second from all enemies in the radius, then cause an explosion of gold dealing damage based on how much gold it stole. This would be weird to balance though, as would the rest of the champion. Very cool champion concept though, I'm intrigued.

EDIT: also, the passive making holes for 2 minutes is a bit excessive. Maybe their should just be a tunnel through the terrain with a 0.5 sec channel time when you go through it. Idk though.
