He looks a bit too similar to Maokai in my opinion,though I guess he is actually more inspired by the mythological Leshy/lesovik(who are male spirits that protect the forest and are partially made of plants).

I really think that he would be a utility Jungler, like, with pratically no damage, just good CC or good ways to hide/ run from the ennemies.

He still needs to kill the camp to get gold. Which would be ironic like it was mentioned above. If he is a jungler then there needs to be a new mechanic where he don´t need to kill camps for gold or otherwise it wouldn´t fit to his title and theme.

I'm pretty sure he's gonna be a jungler with a new mechanic. Maybe he needs to protect the camp to get gold ? Who knows !

I made a post about this exact same theory but keep getting downvotes because people automatically think jungling is wrong for him just because of his affinity for nature. But what we're saying is that his affinity is the primary reason, he lives in it. I'm betting that his passive will be jungle centric due to those bushes appearing in the teaser. Not to mention the vines he has wrapping around an enemy. I also suspect he will be able to recruit and use the jungle natives as allies.

Couldn't it be like a "Tame Mechanic" so you still fight the mob but instead of them dying they get "Tamed" at the end. And like buff u and help you for a while. Because riot DOES try to follow lore despite what some might say.

Well the tease happening only in the jungle clearly points at a new jungler.

We didn't see any new AP jungler since a while (ekko doesn't count, he was meant for midlane)

Kindred clearly proves they want to find new mechanics and tricks for Junglers... I call Support-Jungler with new mechanic, just like they managed to put a REAL adc (and not melee-ADC) in the jungle.

''Making bush'' is a skill that comes from Caitlyn original concept, glad they finally made it in game.

Last but not least, part of his left arm (our right) is human, I expect a druid that fused with nature unlike maokai who is a creation due to magic experiments.

I imagine that he'll be a jungler (with some mechanic that rewards him for not clearing camps), but he's the kind of jungler that's supposed to build item 3711 every game. So like a support-y jungler.

When I first heard his voice I expected him to be some kind of nature mage. An AP jungler who was somewhat tied to Ryze's new rework.

Agree with most on the support/jungler look of the champion. Think he would fit as a cc-machine and protector on the rift who would make a good top laner and jungler, occasionally a support. This is my predicted kit for Ivern judging by the brief preview...

Q- Slams the ground causing all enemy units in path to get knocked up and briefly slowed W- teleports to target and roots it in place E- sends a mini minion/sentry-like unit to a target location, exploding when enemy champions walk nearby and slowing them R- Ivern protects all friendly units around him by reducing their damage taken by a small percentage.

What do you guys think?

I just thought about this a bit more. What if this new champ has the ability to lower the respawn timers of jungle camps (Minus drag/baron)? That would essentially be bringing life back to the monsters.. fitting his theme?
