It was probably going to be DJ sona which already had a few files on the pbe, but the community didn't really like it since it just seemed to be an improved arcade Sona. They are now either making DJ Sona more unique or making it into an 1820 skin instead. The next ultimate skin is probably for a different champion altogether.

I don't know, it would be lame if Riot would really cancel an ultimate skin just because the community would not like it. As well, where did you heard that riot comfirmed it that DJ Sona was the previous ultimate skin? Maybe it's just a Legendary skin, but we don't know.

I said that is was because it was said to be by that guy that also leaked Kalista. It was the only real lead so far for who the ult skin is for. The reason I said that it was somewhat cancelled is because they stopped having files added to the pbe about it.

That guy got banned on reddit and afterwards tons of fake whyrenektonwhy came up, predicting all different things. Just lets hope and wait, and I would love to see Sona having an ultimate skin c:

Yeah. He said there would be an announcement on the 10th... which if people realized was a Saturday, they'd know instantly was fake as Riot never releases any kind of info, content, ect on the WEEKEND.

Too bad an Arcade and DJ are two totally different concepts. Besides, the skin isn't done yet and it's not known what class the skin is... so we just have to wait.

I'm missing the question. Are you asking what skin was rewarded to players who hit the ranked benchmark? (I think it was gold). If so, that skin was a morgana skin I believe. If that's not the question. please use a full sentence to properly express your concern.

.... real? clears throat, Ultimate skins are skins that cost 3250 RP and come with new effects, player modles, sounds, voice overs, champion animations, death animations, killing creep and monster animations, and all around FEELS EPIC TO PLAY AND WATCH! He IS clear from the title and you got confused i guess. End of season rewards are the victorious skins. Ultimate skins usually come out every year and this post was expressing confusing on why there hasn't been one this year. hopefully they come out with one soon because I can't wait to see who they make one for!

Thank you. I was unaware they were called ultimate skins and that they were associated with the year. Understanding missing context doesn't make a question clear to everyone unfortunately. It just means you understand it, and i'm glad, because I was royally confused. :D

it's not missing any context, it's missing knowledge on your part

Pulsefire ezreal is in fact listed in the store as "ultimate" AND I'm about 99% sure that they referred to it as an ultimate skin in all the news posts.

There has never been any proof that DJ sona was going to be an ultimate, just that it is/was an upcoming skin.

There wouldn't be files on the pbe at all if it wasn't pretty close to being done, and if they had an ultimate skin that close to done they wouldn't just throw all that work away because of a little community disappointment.

For that matter most people I saw were disappointed because hardly anyone plays Sona not because it would necessarily be bad.

There was no evidence that DJ Sona would be an ultimate skin let alone riot confirmation. People saw some files in the PBE client and then someone started the rumour that DJ sona would be the next ultimate skin and BAM you get this crazy shit going around.

I dunno about that. They do tend it let things split into the PBE sometimes that aren't meant to be there. Like the fact that yesterday Tristana's new Ability icons showed up and it was confirmed they'd be removed in today's update as they aren't shipping in 5.1.

Then there's also the fact that place holder splashes for a 5th Hecarim skin and 3rd Zed skin have been in there for a long time and nothing has been added for them.

So they add files for various content that isn't all the way done from time to time.

I have a feeling that Riot is moving away from ultimate skins. Now they are trying to make EVERY skin they make be really good (not quite ultimate tier though). Just compare how new skins work now compared to when SG Udyr and PF Exreal were released. they update mad els, textures, animations, lines, and a whole bunch of other things. My money is on Riot not making any more ultimate skins, or at least not making them such a big deal.
