I really don't want to be "that guy", but I'd prefer if the skin retained her original skin color.

Not because of any SJW crap, I just really like Karma's design. Still, upvote.

Cool design and concept, doesn't really read "Karma" that much to me though.

Speaking for myself, skin color, because of years of colonialism, hegemony and racism, is important in this context of whitening a character who is a person of color. Like I tried to emphasize in my previous post, I don't think you were trying to make a racist statement, or are yourself racist, but, inherently, there is something naive about not understanding the implications of a person of color not being attractive on the basis of their skin color; or, furthermore, altering a person with the_ aim of making them more attractive_ on the basis of their skin color.

Speaking in a vacuum, I would love it if skin color and issues of racism were not an issue. However, history, and it reverberating consequences, make these issues, unfortunately, relevant. To be clear, this post, specifically, is addressed to your question about why the change of skin color was an issue. Please do not interpret me as asserting that you are racist, or that your concept is trying to make some underlying statement. I do not believe that you were. I get it, you were trying to make a skin concept. However, the choice of lightening a character, who has a specific identity, because their race doesn't fit with an aesthetic, while maybe not malicious, is, like I said before, eyebrow raising at the very least.

Respectfully,

Silkstone

Hey DawnAngel,

I really like the concept. Thanks for sharing with us. I guess my only concern is that it doesn't really give me an "ambassador" feel/vibe when I'm looking at the skin. The earpiece resembling fox ears make me think of Ahri or any half-fox, half-human creature out there instead. With that in mind, I think the skin should be renamed into one of Ahri's already existing ones. I think this will develop into a skin line if Riot notices it. The two I have in mind are Dynasty Karma or Midnight Karma (silver/white = moonlight). That's my suggestion for this piece. Great job once again. You got skills :)

This looks like Karma (LoL) meets Symmetra (Overwatch).

Well let me just say this if you change one skin, in this case Karma it don't feel like Karma no more, here why.

Karma speaks a bunch of different languages here i tell you: This is very close to what she says/Does say.

Karma's first Chant: **"La Three An Non Vi" ** Hatian Creole means **"The Three Lives in Name" **_ (This can be directed from Karma as chanting to make one of her three abilities stronger and bringing new life into her regular old spells.)_

Karma's Second Chant: "Gaia Na Kiki Vi" More Latin based chant that means "Earth, Stop the Violence"_ ( Karma is a good natured person and it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that she would call upon the Earth's power to imbue her with it's strength so she can help stop the violence on the Fields of Justice. ) _ Karma's Third Chant: "Sa Ella Sa Tiri Vi" Ummm this is like a mix of different languages mostly Creole & Latin Spanish Mean something like "She will, in name, be with you" (So, clearly, this explains that Karma is digging deep in her Ionian powers to chant that she will be with you to fight, to protect you and to stand with you, as a Supportive champion like Karma would do.)

Here Ult Mantra: A mantra is a series of sounds, usually made up ones, that are repeated as a form of meditation.

Changing here skin color makes it feel like we lost her voice, it sound and looks better for here to be darker speaking in a native tongue

Its the same with Nid, since i see people mentioned here, she like or is a amazoness, so her dark skin fits her background.

Thats just me i love hearing Karma voice and seeing a skin color change make me feel like its gone even if its not, it wont sound or look right with the white skin tone. (please don't that that racist) Nid Warring skin was first white then change back, If you look at them back to back you see the darker skin does fit her better.
