Congratulations to the select few who participated and actually put up with my terrible ability to stay on schedule! The March CCOS is at an end, and it's time to announce the winners!

But first, your judges!

Echoing.

That's it. The only other judge disappeared.

I did a brief look to see if I could find anyone else who wasn't participating and would judge. No dice. If you're not happy with my scores, I strongly urge you to apply to judge the next CCOS. It's not good for just one guy to determine this stuff.

Nevertheless, here I am. So with that said, the winner of the April CCOS is...

...hey wait a minute, there's TWO winners!

Leilani, a New Wave in Bilgewater, by Raxistaicho, and Wan'no, the Eternal Traveler, by THE RlVER KlNG, have tied for first with 105 of 110 points! I have no idea how THAT bot lane is going to work out.

In second place, Vyrda, the Rift Jumper, by Skylarke, with a score of 101/110 points! Alas, this is now classed as a bad future. Cue Vyrda rewind...

In third place, Almza, the Runic Liberator, by Arakadia, with a score of 99/110 points! ...no need to move heaven and earth for this though.

In fourth place, Rothniel, the King Under the Ocean, by iKratosKlayton, with a score of 98/110 points! Truly, a light even in the abyssal depths!

In fifth place, Vani La, Queen of the Culinary Arts, by Kamiroo Wolf, with a score of 90/110 points - inexplicably without a good neighbor review! Why?!

My scoresheet is here. As usual, I'll answer any questions, you can reach me at "[email protected]" if you want to judge, and I don't hate any of you, I honestly want you all to improve no matter what the scores may say.

I am already posting the next contest as you're reading this as way of apology.

I hope to see you again next month!

Wait, so my best score was my lore? Well, that's a first.

Nice to see the results up. Sorry to hear your other judge bailed/got busy/exploded. As for my two-cents, I'd just say take your time and do things at your own pace. Yeah, it's a little frustrating to see a schedule and not have it adhered to, but that's life. Just keep us in the loop, and most of us will be quite pleased!

I'll see if I can sharpen up another champion for this month's CCOS. Until then, congratulations to the top 6, well done everyone, and I look forward to seeing your future projects!

Cheers,

-Billcurme-

P.S. I laughed so hard when I saw your words on my GNB. Thank you for that little bit of levity.

I will comment my joy when I'm on a computer. Thanks for keeping this up despite the lack of judges! This is so cool.

I don't think my scores are too bad for my first entry. Glad to see I scored well where I did. Could I get just a brief overview of why I did poorly where I did, just to improve for next month?

If you have time and want to, very sorry that the other judge left.

This contest was really fun and you do a very good job on it month after month, so props to you and all the winners (and entrants)!

Hmm didn't really except to score so low on this one. Was it really that bad?

I recently started watching the LotR and Hobbit trilogies from start to finish. I think that's what shaped me into a huge LotR nerd, though I haven't red the books, which is a shame.

I'm surprised I got so high points even though it's an underwater erebor story. :d

Im not really mad on the results of mine.

I know my lore is kinda lackluster but It can be more fleshed out and I really need to demonstrate the flow/fun on how it can really work out.

That's kinda my problem right now, I don't really showed a clear picture of my champion and how it can really work for both lore and fun factor.

Maybe next time, I can find a better way to flesh out this guy as a character and show how this champion can be fun for everyone to play.

Might do a fresh post of him with more art of mine/commissioned of the champion with a clear look of his abilities and a better lore to go along side with it.

Still, thanks for looking at this guy.

P.S. i don't want to be rude on the GNB but i remember putting a link on mine. Edit: Ok, Now i understand GNB. My bad. I'll put a link the next time i do this for the sake of both of us.

I am sorry I was not able to respond sooner, as I have been busy and lacked the time to sit down and write a nice little response.

cracks knuckles

{quoted}

Six seasons later, our standards for lore have gone up. I'm not looking for the next great American novel no matter what River King might think (holy shit, man)

It's kinda funny since River King also did a roaming support. The major difference there is that Wan'no has a very real impact on arrival - even when he's not in a fight, he's setting up healing points for allies, while when he engages, he's able to help make allies engage or, with a well-timed E, banish people to another portion of the map altogether. When Wan'no arrives, he's either bailing allies out of trouble or helping them position into a better fight.

To begin, aww, thanks, for some reason that made my heart warm to read.

Chief amongst what I wanted to put here is asking you if you had anything else to say about the Wan'no color piece. I realize it was a gargantuan piece of work and that the deadline may have factored into your brief response to it, but I must admit I was looking forward to hearing a little more from you about it. With the deadline long past, is there anything else you could tell me about it that you liked, disliked, noticed, etc.? I live for feedback, especially on my writing, and I would appreciate if you could be a little more specific here about what you thought about it. Thank you!

Secondly, congratulations to all the other winners, especially Raxistaicho. Wan'no was one of my most in-depth concepts, and I am glad that I entered him when I did and not the other champion I had been working on at the time, which I have shelved for the time being. Wan'no went through an absurd amount of iterations with all sorts of crazy abilities - at one point, I was all set to just make him Viatus' spiritual successor and really try to mold his kit around the portals mechanic. He used to have a healing aura toggle, and the first iteration of his E he would select a champion and burn them on a pyre, suspending them and dealing damage if they were an enemy or healing and rendering them untargetable if they were an ally. It was wierd as fuck and I scrapped it. He also used to be able to teleport to his Lost Memories at will on a low cooldown, but I felt that was much too strong. His ultimate, a doozy of an ability, went through many iterations as well, as I wanted to hit home the usage of his beads somehow. I wanted to do a lot of things with Wan'no that didn't make the final cut, but will most likely be seen in future concepts someday. I am a huge perfectionist, however, and I think that I may revisit Wan'no's kit someday, as well as many other past concepts of mine that I think I can improve. I am currently working on updating my past concept's tooltips, such as for Ebero. But I digress.

Anyways Echoing thanks for another fantastic contest and if you should so respond I'd just like to hear any other thoughts about Wan'no (especially his lore) that you had that you either couldn't fit in the Excel sheet or within the deadline. Thank you!

Eyyyy, Fifth place! Not bad! Imagine where I would have gotten with the good neighbour bonuses, they really do make an impact! Thanks to the judges ^_^

Congrats to all who participated and thank you for the opportunity! Looking forward to this upcoming month.

Hello again. I hate to impose, but I have reworked Seira's abilities in response to your critiques. If you, or anyone else, feels so inclined, I would be grateful if you stopped by and gave your opinions on the new kit to see if it better suits the needs of the champion while keeping true to her thematic. A link to the comment in question can be found here.

Cheers, and I hope to hear from you soon if it pleases you,
