(CHAMPION CONCEPT) - Toek - The Shade Savior

Greetings,

I play League of Legends for very long time and I was thinking about my champion concept many times, but most of them were ordinary and not original.

I don't have any concept art, yet I don't know, if something like my idea can work.

Even though I never liked supports, but I kind of love the feeling after saving someones life, I started to play them. But I would like support with kind of different mechanics. Something new. Then I was thinking about support defensive aspects. For sure Heal, Shield, Movement speed, AR/MR.

Current supports have various and great offensive mechanics like all those cc's, damage bonuses etc.. But support for me is mainly for these defensive mechanics to hold his team safe.

Since I love assassins, I was thinking about giving my support their defensive mechanics to use it on his team. That's giving invisiblity.

About my idea, I think about !MELEE! yordle stealth support.

>SKILLS

My thoughts were about skills having bonus effects while cast from invisiblity.

Passive - Concealing your ally gives them bonus damage/critical damage on next attack. This effect has 10 second cooldown.

Q - Phantom Blow - Perform melee-ranged blow with dagger, giving you invisiblity. 8/7/6/5 sec. cooldown / Veiled Strike (Stealthed) - Strikes an enemy slowing them by 80% for 2 seconds. Losing invisiblity. 10/9/8/7 sec. cooldown

W - Shadow Walk - Gives your ally invisiblity for 4 seconds, increasing their movement speed by 2/3/4/5% (+AP%) / Cloak of Darkness (Stealthed) - Gives your ally invisiblity for 5 seconds, increasing their movement speed by 2/3/4/5% (+AP%) and granting health regeneration by 2% (+AP%) of missing health for duration of stealth. Losing invisiblity.

E - Shadow Step - Teleport behind an enemy, dealing damage, causing them nearsight for 2 seconds. 13/12/11/10 sec. cooldown / Surprise Attack (Stealthed) - Teleport behind an enemy, dealing damage, causing them nearsight for 2,5 seconds and stun for 2 seconds. 13 sec. cooldown

R - Conceal - After using Conceal, disables enemy wards for 7/8/9/10 and instantly teleport to nearby ally. (In huge radius) / Hidden - After use, disables enemy wards for 7/8/9/10 and instantly teleport to nearby ally, giving them invisiblity with doubled health regeneration than Cloak of Darkness. Losing invisiblity.

It's very rough idea, but it looks so original and even practical. I would appreciate every disscusion about this or a typ. But it would be nice to see it in game all balanced etc.

I will love to add lore and quotes etc. later if the idea is gonna be little bit supported. ** I DID NOT USE DAMAGE SCALING AND MANA COST ON PURPOSE**. It would be reworked and balanced anyway.

Edit : Q - Phantom Blow - Perform melee-ranged blow with dagger, giving you invisiblity for 4 seconds. 8/7/6/5 sec. cooldown.

IN THE END PARDON MY ENGLISH item 2043 item 3070

so is this a support or an assasin champion?

can you use your abilities on allys?

It's support.

You use W and R on allies, other skills are doing some damage, but their main purpose are cc or utility.

Giving allies stealth was a mechanic Riot tested on Lux before her release. They ended up scrapping it because it was really strong and lacked counterplay.

Stealth in general is a mechanic that's historically been really difficult to balance because it is so binary. The only counterplay is buying stealth detection items (pink wards and red trinkets). Once the enemy has these, the stealth becomes useless.

I'd recommend against focusing on stealth so heavily.

About couterplays.

I would like to keep invisiblity for allies having big cooldowns and short duration, while giving some bonuses.

On the otherside, pinks aren't the cheapest buy in very early and Toek would help against vision by his cc's + nearsight and disabling them on ulti.

If you think about it, it would be kinda easy to balance, very unique support, something new, high elo preferated, but hard to master support.

I disagree that the ability to render any champion in the game invisible would be easy to balance. Think about how much rage Rengar generates. Keep in mind that his stealth is on a long cooldown and has a fairly short duration and he's designed with stealth in mind. Now imagine the enemy Malphite could become stealthed. What about Amumu? Fizz? Galio? Darius? Champions who are balanced by how difficult it is for them to close the gap between themselves and their enemies now have their weaknesses removed. What's the counterplay to a stealthed Amumu ultimate?

On the otherside, pinks aren't the cheapest buy in very early and Toek would help against vision by his cc's + nearsight and disabling them on ulti.

While this gives Toek a way to counter true sight, it leaves the enemy team with no options. It doesn't change the binary nature of stealth. The only way to counter stealth is with true sight. This is a hard counter, meaning when there is true sight, stealth is useless. If you take away true sight, then there is no counter to stealth.

I'd argue that nearsight is also a mechanic with very little counterplay. It's okay on Graves because his is a ground-targeted attack with a travel time that people can walk out of. Quinn's is pretty bad because you can't walk out of it, but at least you can dodge it, since it's a skillshot. Even this is pushing it. A lot of people are unhappy with Quinn's current Q since you can't do anything once it lands except wait for the effect to wear off. Giving nearsight on a single-target ability is frustrating because there's nothing you can do to mitigate it or play around it. The only option is to stay out of range, which isn't counterplay.

EDIT: Think about Toek from the enemy's perspective. How do you play against his team? Do you think he'd be fun to fight?
