A new "Summoner" champion.

Hi all,

Did you noticed that there's not a pure "summoner" champion (intended as someone who summmons something to help him in battel) the only one i can think is Yorick, but he is so lame. Sure we have annie, malzahar and others but you can't say that they are purely a summoner champ, i was thinking of a champ that almost just summons minions maybe with just 1 skill that does a different think i leave the "desing" to Riot bu i would appreciate a champion like this since besides Yorick i don't think there's something like this in the game, what do you think?

Sorry for bad english.

Azir does that with his soldiers. His ult is related to them to.

I think. Sorry if I am being wrong.

Riot's pet AI (and control scheme) is, by their own admission, severely lacking. Until they get it really nicely cleaned up we're unlikely to see further pet-based champions... Orianna, Annie, Malzahar and Mordekaiser are about as close as we'll get

How would you design it differently from Yorick and how would you make it interesting? Emphasize the minions too much and then the champion is just a boat to ferry them into combat. Yes, opponents then have the choice of focusing the dangerous minions or focusing the champion but that doesn't seem like an especially interesting play pattern. Give the champion something to do beside shepherd minions and you'd probably lose the "pure summoner" feeling that you're looking for. But on the other side of that coin, if the minions are the only interesting thing about the champion, why not have the champion just be the minions instead?
