Can we please get a league classic? (Season 3)

Look I just want to say this out right. The current form of league is crap. It's been crap for literally 5 SEASONS... You forced meta's, you forced champs to be in specific rolls... You released garbage easy broken champions like Zed and broken Items like Draktharr... You forced specific champions to be only ad or ap rather than having options to counter people countering you or heck your team being stupid. I wish we could go back to season 3 when hecarum was the last champ released. You know... the days when things felt good, slower, more fun and close. Before scuttles and before plants... Before you ruined runes and mastery's. Before you ruined Galio, alistar, maokai, taric, sion, poppy, vlad ect... :( I miss the real league of legends. The days when a WOMBO COMBO was a WOMBO COMBO... not an EVERYTHING IS AOE SO IT TAKES NO SKILL TO COMBO! They days when dragon wasn't RNG and the baron wasn't some stupid rush thing with op minions... The days when turrets DID SOMETHING... The days when riot game wasn't rito games when you only have one game...

Those rose tinted glasses.

I think they should release oldschool league as a rotating game mode.

Riot isn't forcing a meta, there isn't anyway for a meta not to form. Ok, let's say Riot nerfs the things that you define as meta defining, or breaking, or whatever you want to call it, what do you think is going to happen, every champion now being utterly and all the time viable? No, what WILL happen is that the next best ten will take their place and a new meta will form and if the nerf those, then the next ten. Riot isn't forcing a meta, the playerbase is and always has, the only time this game didn't have a meta was when it was brand spanking new and no one knew what they were doing.

You released garbage easy broken champions like Zed...

Just because you don't like fighting against him, doesn't mean he is broken.

You forced specific champions to be only ad or ap rather than having options to counter people countering you or heck your team being stupid.

Because it wasn't good game design? Yeah, all for variety, but champions that could do that were stuck either being split so down the middle that one side was stupidly shit compared to the other, or were such a balancing nightmare they LITERALLY broke the game, AP Try is a good example of this one, or Sion for that matter.

I wish we could go back to season 3 when hecarum was the last champ released.

Why him?

You know... the days when things felt good, slower, more fun and close. Before scuttles and before plants...

Is that why people complained about how long and drawn out games were, how there were no opportunities for comebacks because the entire map was lit up like a christmas tree on top of not being able to ward because the entire map had pinks?

Before you ruined runes and mastery's.

Which people also complained about because all they were were stat sticks.

Before you ruined Galio, alistar, maokai, taric, sion, poppy, vlad ect... :(

Out of all the champions named here, literally only one isn't in a outright better state now. Galio saw NO play, not that he was bad, but because of how casually easy it was to beat his ultimate, it was laughable. You literally couldn't ulti if your opponent had an Udyr, it just wasn't an option. Alistar hasn't changed at all and has just gotten modern updates to his kit. Maokai is meph. Taric was literally the most basic boring champion ever. You pressed E, walked up, pressed R W then waited for E to come off CD, and sometimes pressed Q to heal, nothing more nothing less. Sion literally couldn't use half his kit depending on if you went AD or AP. If you went AD, your Q and W were useless, and if you went AP, your E and R were useless. Poppy was just poorly designed and was broken when good and utter garbage when bad. The fact that she could ulti the support and kill someone with LITERALLY no counterplay wasn't good game design, I'm sorry man. Vlad is meph, he hasn't changed, and certain parts of him are better, others worst. His laning is worst, his end game is better, though I can understand why people want the older version back.

I miss the real league of legends.

No, what you want are the happy blissful times of League when you first started when you were so blindly by the raw enjoyment of the game that you either didn't notice or just not care about the problems which the earlier seasons did have. Season 2, while herald as this perfect paramount of game is only remembered as that by the bruiser, if you were any other lane, you were going to have a horrible time. Atma metagolem, Randuin's not only slowing AS but MS as well meaning you literally got punished overtly for hitting anyone. People complained about how the meta was stagnant because brusiers ruled the game, and they did. People complain about snowballing now, but before, it was in the game in a different fashion: warding. Against a good team, there wasn't any coming back, the entire map had wards, there were no picks, no collapses, no ways to catch anyone out before there was no fog of war to do that, everyone bought wards and the ability to make a play and get back in were slim and none.

Look, I'm not gonna act like everything is perfect now, not gonna act like there aren't things I miss from older seasons, but people have to take off those rose tinted glasses man, things weren't perfect before, there was just as much bitching about the things that were strong, the power of certain champions, the meta, everything. You can either stop playing and move on realizing the game has changed, for better or for worst, or you can stay blinded to the thought that there was some perfectly balanced season, but my friend, there most certainly wasn't.
