I've seen so many people now who are higher leveled in game than they are on their forum account, preventing them from posting. I remember having the same problem myself and I posted in Help & Support to solve the issue.
I think this bug should be fixed. :)

It's not really a bug. The Boards don't pull your account information until you post.
There are millions of accounts and the processing bandwidth of constantly checking those even when they aren't posting would be impossible to handle reasonably.
To make websites run smoothly, developers limit the number of database calls to only what is necessary. In this case, the site only pulls your account information (your level) when you post. Anyone that posts regularly won't have an issue. Only those that have never posted will run into this and learn how it works.
