Chronological View Plans?

So, are there any plans to add additional features to chronological view in the works? It's currently really hard to use as a primary view option without some context for posts that are clearly written as responses, but lack specific quotes.

The old school, "Parent Post" concept sectioned off into a box works, but it's time consuming, given the additional click necessary, and it potentially eats up a lot of space. Some sort of hover over option that allows you to display the parent post might get the same functionality less intrusively.

Alternately, adding an "@poster" designation to future posts will help, as long as both involved posts are on the same page (fairly uncertain), or you could add a post number to each post that could be referenced.

Ideally, some clever way to mimic the standard behavior on classic vbulletin boards is what we'd want. There, you quote anyone you're addressing directly. OH! And speaking of quotes, they really need to contain the name of the originating poster and a link to that post, or perhaps the hover option mentioned above.
