Big ups to these two Rioters. I for one really appreciated that they sat down and just had some good discussion. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/uRv66Z91-i-love-immobile-champs-the-last-years-have-been-the-worst?show=rundown

They chatted with people about their concerns, tried to provoke reasoned thought and debate, and were comfortable admitting that they didn't always have the answer.

Also, Sotere handled a super dramatic comment with the kind of grace and professionalism that makes trolls and whiners just wither up. Double kudos to him.

Thanks for taking the time to talk guys. I (and many others) hope that this kind of good communication continues.

I just read through the whole thing, and i have to thank them for doing this. Although they kind of danced around a few of the issues by only asking questions in return instead of answering some of the questions asked to them, i have to say they did provide a lot of insight. And they cannot really be faulted for not having all the answers as they (or at least one of them) are not gameplay designers or on the balance team. All in all, a great outreach to the community and good job by them.

I just read through the entire discussion, as the person above me did, and I was struck by their willingness to communicate in a peaceful fashion, as long as the debate did not get too heated. What particularly stood out to me was Shadowstorm's post that he just walked by the Balance team and they were on the boards. He followed that up by saying that maybe if we communicate more sincerely to them, they might actually listen to us (surprise surprise). We wonder why they communicate on reddit more than on their boards and on what was GD, but we never give them the respect they deserve. We need to make a concerted effort to work with Riot, and they will work with us. They were a player-focused company from the start, and maybe the only reason they don't seem to be now is that the players have changed.

Just food for thought, Have a great day guys, excited for LCS Thursday!
