Could we change the way boards handle numbered lists?

Even though there is an adequate way of displaying numbered lists, it can't be said that this is the most intuitive way of implementing it. It would be all fine and dandy if the only people messing up the boards formatting was its average users, but if you look at posts where Rioters make lists such as the recent Kled Q&A, even they make the same repeated mistakes that standard users make.
