We should have multiple colour schemes, this dark blue/beige(?) mix is kind of sore on the eyes. >.<;

Just out of curiosity, how well lit is the room you're in? Home, work, school, outdoors?

It's a bright room, with bing windows. But at night is just as fine.

Maybe its just because dark themes are my thing.

While this color scheme is probably one of my favorites ever for a forum, and prefer it to the old one, it is a problem. One reason is brightly lit offices such as mine. Because the background is so dark, and my workplace office is so bright with overhead fluorescent lighting, I get some pretty extreme glare. It almost acts as a mirror and is causing strain on my eyes and giving me a slight headache after only 15-20 minutes of use. There's a reason most work-related websites are light-colored. And my screen brightness is maxed.

Riot, please offer an option for a lighter color scheme. This scheme is great for home and such, but not so much for at work, outdoors, or rooms with a lot of windows/sunlight.

Just let your eyes get used to it! I don't have that problem! Seems like a personal problem to me! Change your monitor brightness, bro! Maybe you should have your eyes examined! - Almost every CB'er pre-Boards. Just sayan.

Honestly, do try and see if your eyes adapt to it. I know that isn't ideal, but if you do get used to it, then problem solved, no?

If that doesn't work, then I would suggest ensuring you are well hydrated. Dumb, I know, but you would be surprised how often that helps some people.

If those two fail, might I ask what color scheme do YOU think would be best for EVERYONE? After all, this color scheme came after the feedback of the old CB, which was that generally it was too bright. I like this color scheme, but I get not everyone has the same eyes. So outside of going back, what colors do you want to see together? If you are skilled enough, please do a mockup, so we all may get an idea of what you are looking for. If not, I understand, but please do share some ideas on what colors you feel should go where.

I was referring to all the posts on the thread I made back on the old CB when I had the same issue then that you are having now. It was me making a comment on how the tables have turned, but I am willing to try and help.

Well, I'm glad you are hydrated. Sorry those suggestions won't work out for you. I do hope you will give it more time though, as it might take a bit to get used to.

I'm all for a toggle, but the issue becomes redoing the old CB. You see, there are ALOT of features that boards has that CB did not. As a result, Riot would have to essentially redo the color scheme on this site to match the old one. Seeing as they would already have to do the work of a recolor, I was wondering if you had an idea for a better color scheme.

Regarding an idea for the light color scheme...I'm not a very arsty guy...lol. Sorry.

Do you use Gmail? Check out their theme, Soft Gray. It's very good against glare.

YOW! just checked out that theme, and that is MEGA Stressful on my eyes. I mean, I felt like someone was pressing my eyes into their sockets sort of feeling, and that was less than a minute of use. Maybe we can compromise a bit. Did you ever see the old forums back in Season 2? Before the sheer white, they had a parchment look. Would that help?

Also, I noticed you keep mentioning glare. That shouldn't be related to the site per-say, but rather your monitor. Are you using an LCD or plasma monitor, or are you using an old CT monitor?

I kept seeing the acronym CB being thrown around. Now it makes sense.

And yeah, I agree that the Gmail theme is bright. Lol. But I can't see myself in that theme like I can with this one.

I wasn't around for Season 2. Is it similar to F.E.K.'s GD Classic theme? If it is, that one's fine. No glare at all and I like the look.

As for my screen, I'm using a laptop. Screen specs below:

Yep, that's pretty much it. I did my best to work off of a page I had saved, so it should look the same(with the exception of boarders, never got around to rewriting the flexify script to make it support them. Oh well)

Hmmm.... I guess that makes sense. Some laptop monitors are pretty reflective nowadays. If the Classic works well, then I could see about making it function over here, after the guys here have a chance to add in a lighter version or declare that they won't. I don't want to tamper with their feedback, so I will wait until they say "DONE!" to really start.
