The word wrap of the post should match the word wrap of the displayed content

Good news, everyone! The preview function now matches the word wrap width so we can keep our goofy ASCII arts formatted!

However, there are still 2 issues remaining. I guess the preview word wrap only works with replies (this text is all one long line in my preview) and not opening posts.

Besides that, the only improvement I think could be made about this word wrapping feature would for it to extend to where we actually post so we don't have to cross-reference the preview box (which doesn't work for the op.)

I'm going to disagree with you here on three grounds:

  1. A narrower text box means a larger vertical text box. I like being able to see my post all on one screen.

  2. Formatting marks are (obviously) not displayed in your post - they're changed to formatting; this makes it so that, even if your text box had the sameword wrap length as the post, like breaks wouldn't happen at the same place. This is a bad thing, IMO, because giving the text box the same word wrap length implies that the unformatted text will have line breaks in the same place. tl;dr, it's misleading.

  3. You can already do this manually, for individual posts! There's a little triangle in the bottom right of the text box that you can drag to adjust the size of the box - just make it narrower, and you'll have something akin to what you're looking for.
