I've been away for a while. here's a quick summary: I live in another country and play in a different server. Transfered my old "real" NA account to my server. Still had this lvl 11 account in the NA server I find it quite a bit unfair to be now prohibited from participating in GD for basically not being in the US rito pls
ForPortal3 votesLook in the top left corner of the page. In my case it says "OCEANA (ENGLISH) v" but yours will say something more like "NORTH AMERICA (ENGLISH) v". Click on it, and select the server that your main account is on, and log in using that account if you aren't already, and you'll be able to post here.

bad arcade kitty2 votesyou don't need a na acc to post on na boards, see i'm on euw (have a na acc too though) it's a bit bugged though with some rare random log offs (just briefly visit the board of your server and go back, it's something with cookies i suppose)

ah, makes sense. before I quit playing / forum-ing, my server was still on the normal forums pre-boards (slow updates), now it's updated. Thanks for the heads up!

The higher and stricter requirement are applied only to specific boards such as General Discussion. As an example, the creator of this discussion here in boards feedback is level 11 :)
Angry Monster1 voteswhy would riot want feed back from people below level 10? There is no way they even understand the game at that level. Nothing they say can have true meaning since their is no depth to the league experience.
ForPortal5 votesBecause the newbie experience is important too. For example, I posted a thread on the DotA 2 forums about a problem which was preventing me from gaining player levels. How stupid would it be if I had to wait until Level 10 before I could complain about being stuck at Level 4?

Angry Monster1 votesNo cause the tutorial system is a the start of the lesson. Its not meant to teach everything. No one in their right mind would expect someone to learn everything from a couple of lessons. Completing the tutorial does not mean you know league. Nor does it mean you have a grasp on any of the systems.
Lets be honest most new 30s still do not have a clue whats going on. I know when i hit 30 i still didnt.
ULTRAF0RCE1 votesIF the tutorial did not explain the most basic stuff though it would be useless, that's why they added an intro bots it is a form of coop vs ai that is similar to a tutorial in that it makes the basics extremely obvious, it shows the maximum range for abilities of the ai, shows your cursor as something much bigger and also makes a big warning sign when you are under turret or within enemy range. It also helps reminding players that they have to cs, which is an issue I admit even past level 30 due to the simple nature of certain champions, such as for example Janna who has some trouble csing without abilities.

So I still can't go to GD because I play in another server :(
Blightcrawler1 votesAs a person who just got posting permissions for ANYTHING, and was frustrated I had no place to discuss things sooner, I have learned I have no reason to join GD.
Sure, I might want to, but I'm not a big part of the community (I barely know what the community is like) so the lack of option helps me focus on getting involved in the game and/or learning about the community through the specific boards. Things we want aren't always good for us.

Every server has its own GD. Why do you want to discuss general topics with people you don't, and never will, play with?
(Also, it looks like you're still level 11, which means you couldn't access any GD)
I don't think the answer lies with Riot changing the way they handle the boards. I think the problem is the root of this desire. Dig that up, and take an honest look, and then you can better present your case, if indeed you still find the desire worthy of feeding.

This account is my NA smurf, it's lvl 11. My main accout (in the server I play on) is lvl 30. I can't use it to get to the NA GD because for whatever reason they only allow NA, EU and Oceania accounts to the NA GD (probably for english speaking reasons, but that's pretty BS considering that not everyone in Europe speaks english either)
Why I want to go to NA GD? Because I always did go to it, basically, since WAAAAY before this shitty board took over the original forums. Btw, I used to play on NA before transfering (playing with 300+ ping gets boring quite quickly - not to mention my IRL friends changing servers too).
And just for bonus points, my server's forum suck
