[Feedback] Love the new "reddit" style, but...

You shouldn't have downvotes. Not on main threads, not on comments.

This is a community forum. Say a small faction within the community starts discussing something, for example "Swedes on holiday in NA, let's play together and level up accounts". Then 5000 angsty teenagers decide they hate Sweden in NA and downvote the post, making it impossible to find. However, if there was only upvotes it would still have a chance to pop up over all the other posts who might only get a single upvote.

I don't think downvoting is constructive either. And it is not in line with the whole "let's stop the raging and negativity in the community" that you try to keep going now and then.

Agreed but every single system has its flaws. Vote allows more lisibilty to really good threads as well as self moderating the site.

Of course majority isn't always smart (see politics) but we have to keep going forward, I think this is better than nothing (aka non self moderated posts).
