Does anyone else stay off the boards when riot unveils something? I just feels like people post the same opinion in different posts and only some make good point and some are funny, but alot of them are just copying and pasting what others are saying.
I like when the boards have different posts about different things, but this week has been just fiora and HUD posts. Please, comment in posts that are already on the boards and stop making new posts for the free upvotes.
Something interesting to consider here is that the issue you're pointing out (posting threads instead of comments) is probably due to a systemic problem with the Boards. One of the following might be the case:
It's almost impossible to follow comments past a certain point, but threads separate themselves out a bit and make it easier to get into individual opinions. Unless you comment really early in a big thread you are pretty much not going to get anywhere near the activity of a new thread, and to me this is a problem with the platform mechanics rather than player behavior.
Another great example of this is voting, in my opinion. I've seen Pendragon (and others) trying to get us to vote by telling us about how great voting is, but that kind of misses the point; if users aren't using a system, it probably has issues that need to be fixed.
There are so many because Riot neglects to comment or acknowledge most of the main ones at all. They comment more on things that don't directly impact league in any way.
