Everytime I go to the old forums archive, match history, or anything starting with eu. I know I'm going to be logged out of the forums, and any attempts to log back in will get a "Unrecognized username or password" error, until I delete all LoL related cookies.
Very obnoxious.
Out of curiosity, have you checked the top left of the page to make sure you were using the North America region setting? Image below:

i fix by switching back to NA but still VERY annoying.
Same issue as OP. Didn't delete files and it went away but for over a week I couldn't comment on boards at all.
Definitely some sort of cookie madness I think. I am an EUW player, but I'm posting here on the NA boards after logging in to EUW. However randomly it will give me a "login" option over here, but when I try to log in, it won't let me - says invalid user/password (I assume due to being an EUW account)
If I head back to EUW I'm still logged in, then head back here and voila, I'm logged in again. Very weird.
LOL, it has been this way since the destruction of the good forums. If you view anything out side of your region and then attempt to go back to the boards it changes your region. Change it back to NA and you will able to use the garbage forums again.
