Character Limit when Editing

Is still 4096. Why is this hard? Why can't I just have a large post that wasn't large the first time because I have since been corrected, and thus need to expand the post?

That's really really stupid. The character limit when making a new post is larger than the character limit when editing it.

Which means, NATURALLY, that the same is going to be true for making opening posts of discussions-- they won't be able to be edited if they're more than 24000 characters despite allowing us an unlimited number of characters when posting it the first time.

Which hurts everybody in Roleplaying, Story & Art, as well as anybody that makes Champion Concepts. It hurts Tips & Tricks (they can't edit the post if they find something wrong in their huge body). It means that if somebody wants to suggest something for Gameplay & Balance, but they find they made a mistake, they have to trim down their post in order to be able to fix the error? >_>

Hey guys, this is a bug and we will fix it. Sorry about that! We were not aware of it before now.

I've noticed some oddities with the new character limit, and have hit it occasionally even after the changes Riot put out. Have you confirmed that it's still 4096 regardless of the board and as recently as this week? This would be a pretty big issue and worth reporting to Riot if so.
