Can we do something about the search function?

i have mentioned issues with the search function aswell, such as hitting more at the bottom bringing up posts that my category isnt in or far beyond the time span i wanted to search within. I only ever want to see the posts from the last 24 hours but when i hit more it shows me 2 weeks, a month, 6 months, 1 hour, all in a jumbled mess and on-top of that from the wrong category that i wanted to look in.
