Why did we change the boards comment section system?

I'll be honest, even now I still don't like the new boards as much as the old GD and such. While I will admit it probably brings a more diverse series of opinions and ideas into the mix far more easily, I still don't like the whole color scheme, and idk, maybe GD will always be nostalgic for me. But one of the few things I actually liked way MORE about the new boards was that for the comment section, the most upped comments would be visible and you could scroll down to see newer comments afterwards, so that it wouldn't be the same comments seen again and again.

But now its back to the GD style, and it really sucks because new comments are getting snubbed again because they are automatically getting pushed into the 4+ page where no one will see them. For reds it doesn't matter because their comments get linked to, but now voices are stifled by the people who simply posted first.
