Can you send messages to other Players?
Curious if you can send messages to other players? I have not seen the notifications thing do anything and wondering if thats what it is for?

You can message friends, if you're in game it'll just show up in chat (type /w <name> <message> or /r <message> to reply to the most recent message to you), and if you're out of game (in the client) a message tab will pop up in the bottom. The same type of tab will pop up when you're in a premade group so you can talk to the whole group. The Notifications window shows information like when you have been invited to a group, received a friend request, you have been put back in queue (for reasons like, somebody declined to join the game), and a few other assorted tidbits of information.
I'm surprised you got to level 30 without noticing any notifications. I'm fairly new myself, but if you have questions feel free to send me a friend request and ask.

Apparently he meant on the forum. Though, my reply is still accurate for in game messaging!
The Notifications Tab is used for more official business. A prime example being if your post on the boards was to be removed, you would receive a notifications saying your post has been removed and why.
Actually i meant on the boards haha. I know all about it in game.
