I could really see the boards becoming more than just a forum. I think it could be a hub for players to see their profiles online and send messages to other players in any region. It could also be the home to Leagues own Build guides and stats. Having the boards in the client would be nice to because you could have the notifications of people responding to your threads in the client. I find the boards website my favorite site to be on and i don't really like leaving it to see information. Maybe i'm just a dreamer :)

In short, this would be awesome and it's something the Boards team would like to do. For example, it would be really cool to be able to 1-click import an item set from a boards post into your client.

However, there are more important forum-functionality things that take priority, like work on the Red Tracker, etc.
