There are quite a few members of the community I really like to listen to, CupcakeTrap, DialMark4Action, Ginga, and others, but keeping up with them is difficult on the boards, so I think their should be a follow or subscribe feature on the boards that allows you to mark a user, and have their posts appear on some sort of front page.
This is something that has been discussed pretty much since the platform's inception over a year ago, but it's a good feature to be suggesting. I think the general consensus from Riot is that there are more important core parts of the experience (quoting, bugs like the random inability to access content, etc.) that have yet to be added.
Until told otherwise it seems safe to consider this feature on the backburner, unfortunately. Personally, I feel that a combination of this suggestion and Boards private messaging would provide some huge benefits to community interaction. That being said, I'm unsure of what else is being worked on and why it's not feasible to tackle yet.
They're working on it. Coming soon TM, which is to say, no ETA yet (but I do believe it's under development). :)
